  • Agreed, Predictability is a two sided sword, when used right, it can be good, though i prefer something to be 'predictable' then be shocked with the 'unpredictable' result, rather than knowing what's going to happen, and just watching it unfold, example is Edge, it was unpredictable that he would enter in the RAW chamber, but once he did, it was predictable that he'd win it in the end, which is not a bad thing...

  • Good comment al5abeer.

  • good because he strokes your ego and agrees with you?

  • No, good because he adds something to the conversation as opposed to bitching about Christian in WWE, which is irrelevant to the video I made.

  • No beacause hes giving you the ol' verbal bj and you love it because youtube is your life.

  • Yeah, okay, Keep telling yourself that when you go to sleep at night. Fuckwit. I don't have time for this shit.

  • GOOD FUCKING VIDEO!! I agree, predictability isn't bad when done right. Star Wars pre. good example,Lord of the Rings, how many people read the book. But no one really thought Edge & HHH both champs before PPV start.Cena not winning fucking again, thats not predictable.HBK Taker @WM25 can be the most predictable thing of all time but when that match happens it will be spectacular.

  • Excellent point about HBK/Taker at WM25.

  • Christian debuting on ECW=Unpredictable.

The real question: Is this good or bad? Only the future has the answer.

  • Excellent point.

  • no why would would putting a main eventer on the third rate hack raw recap show be a good idea ?

  • What???

  • He's not a main eventer in the eyes of the majority of WWE fans, or perhaps even TNA fans. He got lost in the shuffle in TNA, and it would be worse for him in WWE where the fans are younger and don't know him well. He was never a main eventer in the WWE, and he has been gone for 3 years.

  • i don't think your dissenting opinion id representative of the whole wrestling world. He was pretty damn over in TNA regardless of heel or face and him getting lost in the shuffle is contingent on the bookers, not the fans. And he was a main eventer on his way out in WWE. He was in programs with Jericho and Cena both involving the title and last time i checked 9/10 title shot=main event status. regardless we're discussing two inferior companies with inferior fans either way in TNA and WWE.

  • I'm not saying he wasn't over in TNA, I'm saying if he got lost in the shuffle in TNA, I'm not too confident whether he would fair any better in the E.

And how long was he in the title picture in the WWE? And how did he draw? He was a upper midcarder, who wasn't doing as good business or getting the kind of reactions *some* of the main eventers were. WWE's primary fanbase, or the fans they target is clearly a younger audience, who may not have been watching 3 years ago.

  • once again getting lost in the shuffle is a booking committee thing. reminisce on your career as a fan and think how many times you've said this guy is so freaking over and they are blowing it with him rite now. And honestly lets think about when Cena gets in the title picture, how many people really get the crazy pops they would if his machinated ass wasn't stumbling around the ring. on the subject of the fans, even when he was main eventing and upper midcarding 3 years ago we already had

  • the same situation with young fans. these icon hungry little kids gobble up whatever the e pushes their way. even back then how many of the people booing jericho and christian when they were up against cena realized that they were both two of the biggest things to come out of the 90's ?

  • What does Cena have to do with anything?

All I am saying, which you are missing the point of entirely, is if Christian was lost in the shuffle, due to booking(I never said it wasn't) once Kurt Angle, Booker T, etc showed up, what is going to happen to him when he returns to a audience unfamiliar with him as he hasn't been with the company for 3 years. He is not "so freaking over", maybe in TNA, but look at what happened to Chris Harris and Monty Brown.

  • Chris Harris and Monty Brown were 2 of TNA's biggest stars, but when they showed up, they were virtual nobodies.

If Christian was "so freaking over" he'd be getting bigger pops then he is, no matter which brand he is on. There is some buzz around him because he has returned, but if you put him on SD or RAW straight away, right before wrestlemania without a program, he may as well be a jobber. At least on ECW, he can main event there, and get 1 PPV match a month if he wins the belt.

  • Cena was brought in to illustrate the point of Christian's main event status and the situation he was in while being pushed. More importantly what do Chris Harris and Monty Brown have to do with anything ? Both were TNA made stars. They were not already established guys with well known careers before TNA. Chris Harris got fat and lazy and was given shitty tights a shitty moniker and had to work with armando who on ecw of all shows.

  • They were brought up to illustrate, no matter how over you are in TNA, it means jack shit when you arrive in WWE.

  • Also Monty Brown was gaining steam on ECW until he decided to leave and did all that despite being saddled with a terriblly awkward name and some weird frank sinatra sounding entrance music.

  • and on top of all this I never said anything except he shouldn't be on ECW and is main event quality and should be pushed as so. but thanks for spiraling everything into some huge debate about hristian and his merits and a veritable medley of other things.

  • And I don't agree that he is main event quality and he will be better of on ECW, then RAW or SD. Think about this, if Christian wins the ECW title, which he may do, he is going to be on nearly every PPV and basically have a show for himself. Look at Punk, he won the WHC, Intercontinental and Tag Team after being moved to RAW, and what has he been doing on PPV? Not as much as was when he was ECW champion.

Christian can be a big fish in a small pond on ECW, think about it.

  • also i was referring to him being so freaking over in TNA. Theres not many people who can leave the company and come back with little to no hype and then get a road warrior pop. Jericho had months of buildup and a big mysterious video, etc. Christian got buzz on the internet among the relatively small number of somewhat educated fans and marks and nonmarks alike.

  • And Christian was/is a mid carder who got over in a second tier company, when it was devoid of main event talent. I don't think he is/was "so freaking over" in WWE, maybe in TNA, but as we know, a majority of WWE fans don't watch/care about TNA, hence Chris Harris/Monty Brown re-naming, etc.

  • I get the argument and all and its a good argument.

but for me i just can't help it. when something is predictable it hurts it for me.

Wish i could say otherwise but i can't.

and yeah some people may order PPVs even if they know the outcome of the matches but most people i know only order a PPV if the card looks good and there is matches that they don't know who's going to win.

    but to each his own.

    good video.

  • So basicly none of them would have ordered say WM 17 as most of the matches people knew who was going to win...Hell I was there and most people knew Austin was going to turn.

  • Wrestlemania is usually always the exception.i mean no matter what people are going to order that PPV just for the fact that its wrestlemania and there is usually at least 1 thing on the card that someone wants to see.

as for mania 17 i was 12 at the time and didn't have the internet and wasn't too smart on to what was going to happen. so myself i can't really answer that. i just know the main reason i wanted to see the show was for the TLC match.

  • Thanks, to each really is his own. There are no absolute truths in this matter, mainly opinion.

I should add WM is always WWE's highest drawing PPV, but it is also one of the most formulaic events in Wrestling.

As I said, unpredictability can add a lot of excitement, but if you spend too much time being unpredictable, it either doesn't make sense or becomes predictable, because fans are trained to know what happens next.
