Last card effect looks pretty easy. It looks like the kid reached for the "card" (it wasn't actually there), then you cut to the kid holding that same card some time after the reach.
The only thing to improve would be the sort of sudden jerk when time does stop. One way to do this using this exact video would be to add some effect (maybe a ripple distort) that kind of shows the time stop and hides the "jerk"
I'm not positive how you did that last one but takin a shot in the dark I think you had that card there originally and masked it out until you came to the second you wanted to stop time and switched the frozen one with the real one held in place by something which you masked out, then plucked it out and voila!I've never done these before so this is just guessing...
oh, and i can (or my friend can) do a really nice lightsaber effect (we had to make our 'props' really well, no defects, and film in HD to get it just right)
so now that people have told how to do that time stopping thing... oh wait, what about green screening to put stuff in a layer behind the person??????
(i don't have a mac or a decent linux/windows movie program... is this even possible on the crap that microsoft ships with their os?) (excuse my "french...")
or i could go to my friends house (or my multimedia classroom) and use professional grade hd movie editing software (i think i will do that...)
It's made by making 2 layers on video, and taking picture of some moment, then cutting things u want stopped from picture, and adding them on video on second layer.
yup, all done with simple masking techniques. Very well done though with the milk you could see your hand was not going through it, just under it on the layer beneath.
nice job. i'm interested in learning how to do that. how do you do it? what kind of software do you use, and if i were looking to buy software what feature should i look for that would allow me to do that?
