I don't care what anybody says...e-bay was once fun and profitable. It is now stressful and costly. I'm tired of selling items "as-is/for parts"(with totally accurate descriptions), and then have a few buyers tell me to send them money or else get negative feedback. E-bay can drown in it's own crap, for all I care.

Saw that, they also removed the last neg warning pop-up interstitial page without warning or any real explanation. There was a very rude & short reason given by Uncle Grief. CS reps are still advising that is a glitch according to posts at technical forum.

I used to work for eBay phone support, and it bugs me seeing all this negativity floating around for my former company. Sure, I agree with some, I sent in suggestions to management all the time, but I also realize a lot of them I could've fixed. I do have ways of suspending fraudsters for good. :) Of course, we do need members to alert us first. That's why the fraudster here was trying to convince you NOT to contact eBay, because once you do, they're toast. 100% feedback extortion!

A rival seller ONE PERSON bid on my stuff negged me and reported me using numerous faked accounts for BS and got me kicked off!

Well guess what, unlike most sellers i kept detailed records, and will take thousands of my customers with me to greener pastures!

I was a Platinum Powerseller. 5 years, 6000 + FBs, 99.6 rating, 4.8 DSRs, over $1,000,000 in sales. I was kicked off because i left a buyer of a $2 item a comment regarding an attempt to blackmail me for more free items. Ebay left me hanging with $200K inventory!

It makes us all wonder what is on the minds of Ebay corporate. As of today (01/17/2009) Ebay's stock is at $13.26 and plunging. It's unfortunate that we don't have access to certain statistics, but it makes you wonder if Ebay makes the majority of their profits from the sales of legitimate items or fraudulent items (fake autographs, etc). The number of Obama forged autographs is increasing every day with no end in sight.

Regarding all this Obama stuff, I posted a vid exposing Inauguration tickets on sale, eb responded in major news articles stating they would disallow the sale of those on ALL of IT's sites, effectively making them look like "Mr Good Guy"

But just here in the last +/-week, I see that they will still allow payments for those through Paypal, so they still get a cut anyway. And to boot, no press releases about that. Press also silent about it.

i was a powerseller over ebay as well - I knew they would suspend my acount for any/no reason (funny enough on christmas eve)

That is why i only sold what i could turnover within the week. Ebay is like the mafia they take their 20% of sellers cut. I always joke I will burn all my stock just like prohibition days. I was making 5k a week & 1 month of my stock i have 3-5k worth of stock leftover but i certainly have seen people with 100k stock + planning retirement to be left with nothing now.

So im charged by ebay fucking 4.98 for listing and selling it and havent and dont look to even be paid for the item, thats nearly 5.00 to ebay for fuck all. Well this past week they let thousands of small sellers end up in Ebay hell. Can't list, relist or change anything in the store..they won't advertise your stuff so no one sees it. Yet they want you score brought up. Two evil bastards dinged me on my feedback and I know they did a 1 on the DSR..both liars, cheats and one returned a ring to me broken,yet got full refund from Paypig..she broke the ring. I really hate them....

That is so funny, but Ebay is a scam, they take money when you purchase, when you post a sell and when someone buys it. I know they have to make money some how, but dang their fees are crazy, especially if your posting your bid at only $1, they charge you 50cents to post it then once someone buys it they take a cut. I found another website and they only charge 50cents to post and thats it.

Sorry to hear about your trouble. But I doubt your response is unique. Sad. But glad you did not cave to BS.

Seems to be a common denominator throughout all the various ebay scams & scandals going back as far as I recall & that is eb stands to profit.

Once your FB goes down PP holds your funds, thus collects interest. Multiply that by X number of folks... It all adds up...

Of course eb just deletes threads & acts like these things don't happen.

I'm an ex seller on ebay,51 feedback all 100% positive feedback .So ebay wants to force me into using Paypal.Ebay owns Paypal , between fees you're clipped $100.00 on an item that sells for $1,300.00 Paypal holds funds 21 days,so if there's a problem with a bad buyer they can file dispute get free refund and in some cases keep item .Refund the buyer and get outta there !The changes were made to secure illegal 21 day loans on stolen property of the seller and to make more money!Greedbay2008

Ebid, iOffer, Craigslist, OOdle are all better than Ebay. Moneybookers and Google Checkout are better than Paypal when comes to leveled playing field for both sellers and buyers. Avoid Paypal like a plague if you are a seller!!! Selling using Paypal, 50/50 you will loose everything!

Thanx for posting this capp! At least ebay can't delete this one!! We had 2 long threads on ebay about this, which ebay deleted both, preventing any future sellers from knowing extortion exists on ebay. Anything about extortion is being censored.
