  • MAGNIFICO !

  • Thank you very much for the sharing of this very moving video, it's a wonderful tribute to Wladyslaw Szpilman (5 December 1911 - 06 July 2000).

    Best regards from France, Rosy

  • Honestly, I am such a noob at any sort of classical music, but after watching movie, I can't hold my emotion listening this music.

  • Hermoso... judío tenía que ser.

  • One of my favourite piano pieces. Beautifully played too. Excellent.

  • RIP

  • What a mind to even conceive this piece of grandeur. Concierto de Aranjuez by Rodrigo possibly more moving . . . possibly

  • Great playing, but FUCKING CLIPPING, the uploader needs to get their shit together.

  • He is amazing... The Pianist ...

  • score for my showreel, nothing else can perfect this

  • this nocturne is a pure soul and people like szpilman are a real pride

so much emotion .. so much pain .. so much beauty in only 3:40 muinites

it is just pure heart and soul and the prove that more people know justin bieber then people know chopin or szpilman is just sad and show how the world changed ..

  • this man is the proof of the jewish proud spirit!!! love this chopin nocturne

  • I thought this was a perfect song until I heard it on violin... it's so much better

  • i have no words...his story is just amazing

  • Why title it as hd when it isn't? You're just asking to be disliked.

  • @sockmonkeyzruleXD google "chopin nocturne c sharp minor sheet music"

  • @sockmonkeyzruleXD

Hi, yes it is. You can sell it at the G.Henle Verlag (Chopin Nocturnes). You will also find a second version of this opus on it.

  • Proprio bella *_*

  • Since the beginning of mankind we've enslaved, murdered, raped and plundered each other. Sometimes, I wish we'd just die off but then I watch this survivor play and I think of the men who do the best they can to save each other and I am glad to be here.

  • Just perfect! Thanks for sharing!

  • the human spirit can not be controlled by ideologies of mad men....but the mind can be fooled....

  • 2 Bieber' fans have watched this. after hearing really good music their brain was annoyed. they didn't like it. LOL

  • Realmente increibleeee! Esa melodia es muy hermosa...!

  • amazing . it really touched me. i was wondering where i could get free sheet music for this ?

  • Incredibly barbaric what our ancestors have done to wonderful and remarkable people like him. I will remember him, the 6 Million who died and the 1000 who lived because of Oskar Schindler throughout my life.

  • @PMetheney84

btw... Mr. Szpilam was saved by Mr.Hosenfeld. Not by Schindler

  • @Turic1000 Thanks for educating me :) I don't recall writing that, though. I just said he saved 1000 people.

  • I just saw the pianist (the movie based on his life), he lost everything in WW2 but endured everything...

you can see the sadness in his eyes...

    rest in peace man.

  • Dear youtube, I wanna report an error : there is a dislick button ..

  • The expression perfect the performance. A real performance cannot be learned or trained. There must be filled with story. That is why I afraid no other performance of this op of Chopin. It is a pity cannot listen the live.

  • I love this song!

  • Two men have no souls.

  • The pain in his eyes…no one will ever forget the horror he survived.

Like Dorota said in The Pianist, "No one plays Chopin like you."

Thank you for posting this video :)

  • You can see so much pain in his eyes.

  • It's a shame he didn't live to see "The Pianist." I wonder what his thoughts were on the film considering it opens with this piece before the bombing.

  • The way he plays it is so haunting and he plays it with so much feeling. Other versions are OK, but his version is perfect.

Chopin was also Polish; they must be proud!!

Wladyslaw Szpilman, you're the best pianist ever and you're very brave!

The Pianist may be the only R rated film with not even a sexual kiss..and it is my favorite R rated film ever. To those who haven't seen it; it has little profanity, adequate violence, and beautiful Chopin music. Amazing..the only word!

  • 1:15 *.* :')

  • aww.. RIP

  • Goosebumps

  • AMAZING

  • how did Chopin write so much amazing music .. i bet he got goosebumps all the time

  • The person who disliked this is the german lady who lived next to Szpilman.

  • @ozeri15 get over yourselfs, not everyone like your kind of music.

  • This is just amazing, have not heard a better one...granted i've only heard a few

  • @fr21k

Grande Polonaise Brillante Proceder An Andante Spianato Op. 22 a

    its even more so.

  • @JustK8 the pedaling is really hard to make it sound as pure as his version, he also adds some notes because yundi li and other pianists play my version

  • I love his tempo.

  • I just realized my version sucks and I skipped many notes and my pedaling sucks I cant make it sound like his version :( I QUIT

  • @spartan1081990 silly, don't say I quit :) just keep working on it. I know that one piece that I loved took me two years to actually get there. But that's also because I had some issues coming my way. At the end though, I got where I wanted, and even though I haven't had a piano for years now, in those rare occassions I can sit down and play and remember it all....

  • @spartan1081990

to play like this you have to play it for decades! so either you want or you dont!.

    ask any good pianist

  • @Manolobartolo yeah, respecting the pedal and tempo like that is hard to master

  • There shouldn't be a dislike button on this video

  • bravo!

  • fantastic. no words

  • Espléndido...

  • Polish must be proud. Chopin and Szpilman. Bravo.

  • Wladyslaw Szpilman is my favorite Pianist. Incredible man.

  • beautiful.

  • One man doesn't have a soul.

  • @ArdaUnhail One more lost

  • @ArdaUnhail make that two people.

  • @ArdaUnhail Wow, I hope you are not making that statement towards Szpilman. You know he was a holocaust survivor. He was the only one in his family that survived.

  • @diaz2296 He was talking about the person that clicked on the dislike button, that's all. =)

  • Thanks for posting the HD version. Much better.

  • thank you for posting!

  • Yeah i hear other people play it and it sounds ssssssooooooooo much beter when he plays it i just saw the movie it was haunting but beatiful.

  • I agree hauntinly beatufily.

  • if it weren't for wilm hosenfeld Szpilman would have never survived the holocaust. Also down with you Neo-Nazis and Holcause deniers

  • What a beautiful and moving performance. One can easily tell it is coming directly from his heart.

  • Hauntingly beautiful
