I love how we used to make junk food seem so wholesome and american back in the 80's. You could never get away with doing junk food commercials these days.
Those things were good. I used to get a couple boxes every shopping day. They also had fruit bars which were really good also. I don't know why they stopped making them.
kirken fruit roll ups stopped being made because some kids ate the paper with the fruit roll up and then the department of health got involved and deemed the candy to unsafe for current children (this was early 90's when everything was being banned). So the company was absorbed by another company and all assets were sold off (ala the movie wall street), three towns of people who worked in the factories lost their jobs and security. Those same towns are now ghost towns.
I still love gummy foods and im 25 yrs old mmmmmmm :)
