WoW! I felt like I was just put in a time capsule and thrown back into the early 90's. Your dancing brought back so many good memories, and of course dancing to Lisette just gave me goose bumps. That lil move you did between 0:44 & 0:48 was probably one of the most Classic Freestyle Dance steps I remember. It's people like you who will keep Freestyle dancing and it's music alive forever. Yes, each song has a different feeling and that feeling is translated and the dance is a physical manifestation of the song.

Steps can be both created and remembered. Some are created on the spot while others maybe incorporated.

Songs do have beats, rhythms and lyrics. When dancing one can choose among them which aspect to dance to at any given moment. There is also hesitation between beats that can be used. I feel each each one of these components and make choices throughout the song.

Oh yes, I forgot to mention, there is also the melody that is a component that songs have that can be danced to as well. When you watch a dance you may see any one of these elements of music being used for guides in movement.
