Just a simple door hinge on top and a metal where i can put a bolt and 2 nuts and a washer to lock. Use your imagination, how you can put two parts together. i hope this helps. good luck
a folding canoe absolutly brilliant i carnt belive it has not been thought of before and as for seaworthy i reakon such a vessel would make it over the pond to visit us brits
I designed the idea of a folding canoe, but the canoe itself was from the web. The plan is free. Go to bateau dot com. And some techniques came from my own idea.
It's hard to believe i talked to you about this 7 months ago, but i finally built my canoe! It's really sort of a boat though i guess. I should have a slide show up here sometime. I basicly bought all the stuff first and designed it as i went (sorta hilbilly). Anyways, thanks for putting these videos up, they gave me alot of motivation to build my own.

good job but wouldnt like to go down rapids on it lol how did you keep it together when you unfolded it? was it some sort of locking mechanism?
