Wow! It's rare that you'll see a High School movie and be able to say that in the years to come, almost the entire cast will go on to have successful careers as serious actors. Sean Penn, Judge Reinhold, Forest Whitaker, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Phoebe Cates, Nicholas Cage ALL AMAZING TALENTS. And my favorite scenes are the ones with Spicoli and Mr. Hand.

anyone young would not understand the "sniffing of the paper" at the end of this scene..for those who do not know what this is all about ill tell you.......before there were photo copy machines schools made copies on a machine called a "mimeograph". It was a primitive form of photo copy machine....the ink or maybe it was the paper had the most strange addictive odor. Everyone would sniff the paper. We were probably getting high off it....nobody even cared that it was probably poisonous/addictive

To this day I have never smelled anything even remotely close to it...had to be toxic........it's like trying to describe what the interior smell was like in cars made before 1970.......ya just can't explain it........

The smell is hard to describe. It was a pleasant sweet smell. Like a fumey-ink. It would only make you temporarily, 5 seconds or so, lightheaded. It wasn't capable of doing much but we got as high as we could. Right guys? lmao
