  • Just because Cleopatra learned Egyptian doesn't make her mixed, she was the only one in her family to do so which means her younger siblings didn't and by the way, according to Plutarch, she retained her Macedonian dialect that the early Ptolemies had given up for Greek.

  • Where can i watch this documenttary episodes?

  • First, of all Cleopatra's beauty shouldn't be disputed. Men with power from all countries were in awe of her beauty and so is the world. Cleopatra is no different than a new age ruler. Beauty is captivating commingled with intelligence is unparalleled. Women are to use our entire package God gave us. I don't like this depiction. Is it an underhanded way to defame Black beauty? Cleopatra is the most beautiful, well-rounded woman!

  • @sapphire74princess Antonia, Antony's daughter by Fulvia was considered very beautiful. She looked exactly like Cleopatra. Beauty changes with perception.

  • @sapphire74princess I know that staue is MEANT to portray her as classicly greek but still it must have a good relationship to how she really looked. I haven't ever seen a black woman with a long hooked nose, receding chin and thinish lips. But a fair amount of Greeks like that, and also middles easterners and to a lesser extent egyptians. I reckon she was mostly Greek, with some middle/eastern egyptian. I think the ptolemies mostly married distant family members,

  • @22poopoo her nose was not hooked, she had a slight hook. There is another woman resembling Cleopatra with more semitic features where no diadem is present proving she was not royal, hence, this woman is confused with Cleopatra. The real bust of Cleopatra is the roman one.

  • @sapphire74princess As we know...according to history Cleopatra wasn't black.

Beauty is captivating and her intelligence unparalled. Women are to use our entire package God gave us. I don't like this depiction. Is it an underhanded way to defame Black beauty? Cleopatra is the most beautiful a Black woman!

  • Cleopatra i love you!!! reincarnation of ISIS!!!!

  • Bunch of haters is what they were...

  • what an unfair characterization....she passed her first official legislation a 17 according to sources....15 according to others. Just goes to show that the history that we hear is that of the conquerors.

  • I was searching for some back up information on queen cleopatra , because I was planning on dressing up as her for the around the world theamed dress up day (she was a big part of eygiption history) and i found out she wasn`t a beauty wihich made me mad.Ill probably still dress up as her

  • @DaAussieDramaQueen Standards of beauty have changed over the centuries; she was considered beautiful in her day. Roman historians like Plutarch described her as merely attractive, but Cassius Dio said she was an "unsurpassed beauty." There is a Cleopatra exhibit at the Franklin Institute here in Philadelphia.

  • Too much of a woman? Im a man and that still just seemed offensive and outdated. What a crock. Cleopatra VII Philopater was worshipped as a goddess vy millions.....ran a country that before her was indebted and divided....and passed her first recorded legislation at 17. This movie makes her sound like some sort of gold-digger.

  • @AcesBlazin Not to mention that she spoke 9 languages, was a scholar on mathematics and astronomy, authored books, studied poetry and philosophy and was a brilliant stateswoman and politician!

  • Wow! Whit this kind of video one can only note that there is still a lot to learn, even about the "popular" themes everyone think they know about.

    Thanks for the video.

  • Great Stuff!! *****
