Stop being so hard on Joe. His methods were strong but talent does NOT develop itself. There's video of Tiger Woods at round 5 years old swinging golf clubs and I'm sure the Williams sisters are no exception to being pushed hard. As a parent you HAVE to push your kids harder then they push themselves, especially if you see something in them they are too young to see. @y2johnnie I agree that sometimes parents need to push their kids hard, and in some ways Joseph was successful in doing that, but from what I've read and heard (some things said by the Jackson children themselves) Joseph abused his kids, both physically and psychologically. He took things way too far, some of the things he said/did were very unnecessary.

I don't know if it's worth it to do that to your son, no matter how much talent he has or how famous he could become. Michael always asked a lot of questions growing up. That was how he learned everything that he did as an adult. He knew how to mix music, and knew how it should sound. He learned because people took the time to teach him. Joe just gave orders.

Michael always asked a lot of questions growing up. That was how he learned everything that he did as an adult. He knew how to mix music, and knew how it should sound. He learned because people took the time to teach him. Joe just gave orders.

Michael himself even saw Berry as his father because he was gentle and treated him like a father. Even though Joe loved his son; he all know he was in for the $ and Michael didnt give him a penny in his will after he died
