@pchsva yeah, hello, is it normal for a 6 -8 week old to need stimulating? Ive only had her for two days and she has not pooped, but then again it's the first two days of her life she was away from her mother. BUT SHE WILL NOT POOP! Not even after I attempted stimulation... I really need help

40 years ago we had to raise our new born puppies when the mom died.

We put baby oil on there stomach and rub in a circle. They would poop and pee. We made a formula and feed them out of baby bottles. They all lived.

It's not a surprise- that is how they stimulate the babies. Newborn cats & dogs can't pee & poop on their own- their moms stimulat them to do it by licking them.

I'm doing the same thing with my kitten right now! Someone abandoned him in a shoebox under a freeway on ramp, a person walkin their dog found him and now Im playin foster mom b4 he goes up 4 adoption! Im gettin attached tho!!! Bottle feeding and pooping kittens sure makes u get attached!

Thanks everyone for your posts - this baby ended up staying at my home - he was such a love i couldn't give him up -- we're up to 3 cats and 3 dogs now - "at our limit" augustus is doing GREAT w/his little orphan buddy cesar - they are spoiled rotten.
