  • this is true!!!

  • It should definitely be used as a treatment.I suffer from PTSD from near death experiences buy gang members and things like almost drowning. When I smoke cannabis it doesn't matter what my mood before smoking was, even if I was the most depressed, Cannabis would help me feel happy again and appreciate what the present has to offer. It doesn't make you forget your problems but it just gives you the feeling that "it will pass".

  • A friend of mine gets ecstasy for his PTSD.

After he takes it, his nightmares are gone for the next weeks---

The only prob. is that his psychiatrist charges him alot everytime he visits him.

I think canabis could help him as well and isn´t as expensive ---as he could grow it for his own..but he gave up smoking cannabis 20 years ago....

  • ...[continuation from previous comment]the entire research experience. sure they have been studying on animals for long enough to juxtapose the effects on the animals to the effects it could possibly have on the humans.. however, these studies lack the part where they get positive/negative verbal or written feedback from th test subject.

y do scientists and chemists get to bypass this whole animal cruelty law? it's like if u wear a wite coat it gives you liberty to blow weed smoke on your cat.

  • i think scientists need to stop playing it safe with animals. they need to introduce the "steaks" element and put something on the line, like themselves..

i am pretty sure that anyone who reads this will agree with me that Marijuana isn't something that humans least of all scientist-who know full well the effects of the drug should be affraid of. these scientists are weak and the fact that they are studying on animals with completely different genetic structures to us is dramatically slowin down

  • Medical Marijuana can be used to treat many different disorders, and for good or worse no one has ever died or become deathly ill from such experiments. Keep up the excellent work Neuro.

  • not gonna happen although i wish it could its never gonna happen

  • Cannabis helps with depression and anger. In that way, suicides and murders could be prevented. Its easier to forgive people, meditate and connect with the great spirit light energy. It could also help with sleep disorders. It can help with designated drivers who still wanna party, because there isn't the same effect as alcohol.

  • its about money obama and bush are cousins and ironicly enough their family has huge claims in the oil industry, cannabis can produce methanol a natural fuel just like gas infact the first car was made to run on that very chemical so until these people are willing to give up their supposed "superiority" = money and sense of power over you, or your willing to fight for it it isnt going to happen

  • How?

how do you cause post traumatic stress in rats, take away thier cheese??

come check out my Tao Te Ching vids!

  • @MidnightDC696969 You hover a cat over them so that the cat almost gets them, but not quite. LoL.

  • One might argue that the cognitive functions of Rats in no way correlates to that of humans, however... we are all related biologically, so cognizance cannot be exclusively claimed by us. Also un-augmented Cannabis should be used therapeutically as these "Skunk types" are completely a different "drug" compared to the naturally occurring Cannabinoids, plus it's much easier to titrate the dose range parameters, to much has a deleterious effect on well being, it would only traumatise further.

  • i quit smoking 5 weeks ago to pass a drug test for a new job, and its been the most depressing time in my entire life

  • shiet man , i have depression and i am only 16 , and i have trouble sleeping and eating and marijuana definately helps me through it alot .

  • exercise and plan on getting laid, fuck the weed if you feel like that - won't do you any favours in the long haul

free advice, take it or leave it

  • She's acting sexier and sexier in every video because you're all giving her a big head.

  • wtf i don't see how she's "acting sexy" at all.....

  • maybe she's trying to win me back ?

na, she dosen't have to try - i'm always here for you baby you know that ! he he !

    :D

  • hell no weed would just bring the memories out makeing them have even worse flashbacks

  • As a veteran with PTSD I have found that Marijuana has helped with my symptoms. Unfortunately I can't afford It as much as I need in order to deal with my issues. It's sad when our government would rather a vet's suffer then allow us the help we need.

  • I have ptsd even without being a veteran, just a very traumatic life.

weed helps, but not the way shes saying it does, for me atleast, it helps me relax and get less up in arms about things and lessens the hyperactivity.but thats just me, one thing that really helps though is psilocyben mushrooms. I have had great success combating my OCD and PTSD on that particular psychedelic.

  • do you know something about hgs it s derivated from -thiner- or other chemikal

  • i just think it should b legal for all use. and one thing i don't understand....... they make dangerous opiates legal for medical use, so y not marijuana? pot is pretty harmless. so even if it doesn't help the problem, it probably wont make it worse.

  • although i do love my weed.. and im willing to support any LOGICAL argument based in FACT, i must say your "story" sounds like bullshit..

  • weed makes me paranoid , i dont see how it could treat ptsd

  • Did not help me at all... made things bad... and weed has never been the same since... i had a car carsh.. which me and my ex gf neally died... and i suffered PTSD... and still have signs

  • Strand is really a word that describes fabric, or hair...bro. I think you mean which strain you "got". Although Hey what do I know, I'm just a text message!

  • strain

  • Yay

  • We are all part of a single conciousness.... Hitler Stalin ...Mao .... Charles Manson... Helter Skelter

  • hallucinations is not a common symptoms of ptsd, i have it. flashbacks are though, and also i smoke weed as much as possible if it was legal medical marijuana, that is, i would use it all day everyday its one of the only thing that helps me not feel depressed, im 20 year old guy in college and im super depressed and feel like no one likes me, and i just really want a hot girlfriend, but apparently i dont have what it takes anymore, it really sucks. sorry i just had to get that off my chest

  • This feels kinda obvious~

  • I don't know about ptsd, but it certainly helps with depression and menstrual cramps.

  • stress, eating disorders, un-fun syndrome

  • how the fuck do you give a rat PTSD?

  • send it to rat war

  • you pick it up, shake it, and then force it to watch armageddon now while strapping it and a hungry family of cats 8 inches away from each other. i think that'll do it

  • torture it with loud noises etc.

  • @BestNameEvar rat war or rat domestic abuse

  • Cannabis was used in over 100 medicals before ist was forbidden. For me it is first medicine, then drug to relax. There is a proffessor in Israel that is doing research on cannabis for over 40 years.

In Rostock/Germany there are two doctors who are doing tests for cannabis against cancer.

Cannabis is the best plant on this planet. Time to legalize.

    Keep up the good work.

  • love your screens, and thanks for your informative approach to psychoactive drugs and plants

  • Drug companies will always fight legalization,

no money to be made with this drug. Its too easy for people to grow.

  • exactly

  • Cannabis, especially of the up-lifting sativa variety, can help a lot with depression and anxiety.

  • So is the use of cannabis for research legal in Israel? If it is this is great news. It's wonderful to know there are people doing serious research on it, even if it is the military.

It's always good to see people testing cannabis because we already know the results will be favorable, mostly. Nobody reached these conclusions before, or at least not in a methodical and scientific form because of almost a century of stigma and artificial prohibition.

  • I don't have PTSD, but I find that when you smoke cannabis, it's much easier to calm yourself down and analyze your situation from another viewpoint.

  • Long time watcher, first time poster. What you are doing is wondering. Spreading the word and making us think in new directions. Keep up the amazing work you do.

  • Cannabis: Australia tops world use

    16 October 2009

Australians have the dubious honour of being among the worlds top cannabis users, an international review shows (Lancet 2009; 374:1383-91).

We are not doing so bad...... I am interested in the notion that many ppl think Australia is a conservitive backwater.... however we have the highest use of MDMA and Cannabis... The recent sacking of NUTT in the UK made the assertion that cannabis and mdma is safer in contrast to alcohol.....

  • damn, Canada must be slacking. Anyways, goodform on Australia's part.

  • cannabis is not just good for sick people. its good to change the way you think every now and then to get deeper understanding or appreciation for things

  • I think its worth trying out why not it couldnt hurt to mellow out some soldiers are SERIOUSLY stressed out lol . I have no idea what mental illnesses it could be good for ive heard its good for preventing altimers and that it helps add/adhd patients as well but thats about it .

  • can u do a reveiw thingy on Wormwood

  • Nuerosoup, do you know who Rick Simpson is? hes got the THC panacea

  • I think I get PTSD when I notice my cannabis supply is getting low.

  • anyone who has PTSD should immediately be sent home.

  • Well you don't really have PTSD until you're removed from the stressful situation.

  • gotcha.

  • cannabis solves all the world's problems

  • Does certain pot make you more paranoid than others? A respoce would be great. thx =)

  • there are two strains of cannabis: indica and sativa, that have an effect. there are mostly inbetween plants that will affect you with some of both symptoms. the paranoid feelings i get would mostly be the fear of getting busted by someone i don't want to get caught by .P

  • Well yes and no . Technicly speaking no because no cannabis has a reputation for making you more paranoid than any other kind and most people dont get paranoid from smoking it . The people who DO get paranoid will get more paranoid the higher they get so you could say the stronger the "pot" the more paranoid it would make such a person . There are broad catigories of cannabis which I wont name now but one of the 3 is more likely to give you a paranoid effect just because its more mental .

  • People are only paranoid of being caught. Weed just strengthens prior thoughts.

  • Makes sence though I amagine those who do get paranoid would still get more paranoid if more stoned if only because it makes them more emotional about the situation .

  • I don't get the argument of paranoia, though. Whenever I get paranoid I can either embrace it and freak out (which is very fun) or I can switch it off with a simple thought. It's not like it's totally unbearable and lasts forever.

  • Eh its probobly not a valid argument to begin with like I said the stuff effects everyone differently I doubt theres any scientific basis for the idea .

I only got paranoid the first time I smoked but I had no idea what was going to happens so I dont think that counts realy .

  • It depends what strand you got. If you have anxiety disorder you shouldn't be having anything that will provoke that.

It's ludicrous to deny an entire nation of people the right to do something because someone has bad reactions to it. Criminalize nuts while you're at it.

  • Ya a sativa strain is more likely to make you paranoid than an indica one but neither are gaurenteed to do anything of the like . What you say about legalizing is true but its not illegal because some people have bad reactions to it , its illegal because certain industries would suffer greatly if it were legal and those industries power our government therefore it forbids us access to the plant . Also theres a huge smear campaign against it that keeps people stupid about it in general .

  • Dude, I know, I've been studying it really deep for quite some time.

I was just saying that their remaining arguments are completely fallible and ridiculous as they draw near to their political death.

  • i think it's also the fact that in general it tends to allow people to think more critically and realise when they're actually being fed a load of bullshit, and the government certainly wouldn't like that

  • my bad *showed improvement

  • 94% of people who used weed to treat ptss were actually cured

  • I can think of times when marijuana has helped me move on from a bad experience but only when I was really ready to move on. Using a plant as a tool when the time is not right can be even more traumatic. On an extreme comparison: taking LSD right after your dog dies would be a horrible experience. I believe 100% that a large variety of substances can help people. But those people have to work hard to help themselves first.

  • I think the study is great but god. If our vets come home and they want to smoke a J. They should be allowed smoke!

  • i think that marijuana can be used as a treatment for anything its a great medicine and is useful is in everyday situations.

  • lolwut

  • dog barking in the background

    ...

    i think

  • i can't remember much after i have smoked any weed so i can imagine it would work for ptsd

have i been here before? who is this hippy chick? i have hazy memories she said i was the sexiest man alive.......

  • you're not!

have another smoke and report the results

  • the recent drugs row in the uk is interesting. i dunno what's gunna happen, but with professor nutt arguing his case for hard scientific evidence for cannabis being less harmful than alcohol, and with the politicians on a double edged sword from being prejudiced lying hypocrites, looks promising. anyway, the message people want to get across to governments is we can responsibly make an informed decision on our personal use of drugs for ourselves.

  • too much of anything is bad, and i guess that's where most of the horror stories that create prejudice against marijuana come from. i do believe that if used in moderation it has some positive effects. just like alcohol.

  • @rabbitspliff

Sorry, I think you have something backwards here, did you really just compare marijuana to alcohol?

  • only in how potentially harmful each is. ie the science that's supposed to be used to pass laws on the legality of these drugs. as i was sayin about the drugs row in the uk, professor nutt presented scientific evidence that alcohol is potentially more dangerous than cannabis, taking in mind it's subjective from person to person obviously. i wasn't intentionally comparing them in any other way. oh except about them both being benecificial in moderation. any problems?

  • you drink WAYYY too much you DIE.. you smoke WAYYY to much POT, YOU GET THE FUCKIN MUNCHIES...

I'LL STICK WITH MY CRONIC THANKS!!!

  • yeh don't get me wrong i do think cannabis should be as legalized, it's just i've made my personal decision not to use it recreationally, and only in exceptional circumstances medically.

  • not the point I was making... people equate pot and booze simply b/c they both have "intoxicating" effects.

simply said they are NOTHING alike. booze kills your liver, and dehydrates you severely.

alcohaul ruins lives, and destroys familys, causes people to fight and hurt the ones they love....

I'VE NEVER HERD OF SOMEONE SMOKING A JOINT AND HEADING TO JAIL FOR GOING PSYCHO AND TRYING TO BEATUP A ROOM FULL OF PEOPLE...

we hear about it ALL the time with alcohaul!

    DECRIMINALIZE, DON'T LEGALIZE!

  • aren't decriminalize and legalize the same thing basically? i mean, surely if it's illegal, possession and use would carry a criminal offence? and anyway, yeah, sorry i went at a tangent to what you said. i get what you meant.

  • sorry i jus read one of your other comments explaining them. but surely having it both decriminalized and legalized would be the best?

  • thats why you have a stoney name like rabbit spliff

  • After smoking too much weed i got depersonalization. Its really not comfy and i have like 24 hour a day pressure on my head after smoking it. Did anyone experience the same?

    Thanks!!!

  • ummmm the only thing i can say is.. its probably NOT good to DRINK BONG WATER!!!!!

  • never.

  • When I used to smoke too much (5 bong hits or 3 blunts) I would have a pressure in my head, be very tired, and then eventually pass out, but thats like a ton within like an hour. When I smoked regular amount like a standard blunt or 1 joint, it would be the opposite I would loose any muscle aches or headaches, be more sociable and be able to concentrate better on tasks. If taken in a regular amount it helps, but if you do too much you cant OD, you will just be more like a walking zombie.

  • weed helps with psychological trauma....

hmmmm... and the sky is BLUE..

    what else is new?!?

(btw some of these same "studies" were done by the USA 30-some odd years ago.. nothing new)

    no offense,

I REALLY do enjoy your vids!

im a BIG advocate to maybe not the legalization (cause that would promote taxation and other shitty restrictions) but to DE_CRIMINALIZATION.. thereby it not beng a criminal offense, merely an annoyence to the cops, like loitering or something like harmless as such...

  • ok so now i HAVE to ask.. how the hell do u "induce" PTSD in a RAT?!?!?

thats...wow......ummm..ok.. not sure how to comment on that.....

i don't question the posibility.. its gotta be possible.. but id REALLY like to know how they do it.. do they stage a mock kidnapping or something?!?!?!? HAHAHAHAHA

  • In small amounts cannabis can be used for back pain and pulled muscles or a muscle relaxant when eaten or drank as tea. With little or no side affects.

  • If cannabis was legal, the fort hood shooter wouldn't have gone crazy.

  • I think it should be legal like alcohol and if it helps you with any thing even better.

  • no you don't.. if they legalize it they can tax and, and set restrictions on who can smoke, and where... and you'd STILL catch shit from the cops regardless!... if its de-criminalized, as opposed to legalized, they will still give you shit.. they just can't arrest you.. its like a tickit for loitering or something.. nothing major.. no criminal record, no jail..

  • All drug use should be decriminalized (why should someone be compared to a serial killer pedophile because they dropped acid?).

Cannabis (and probably a few other drugs) should be legalized, there is no proven and definite harm.

  • thats wat we got in canada man its awesome
