You know what the problem is its the previous generations im talking the kats that started this industry are no longer directing folks and out of the prime past the 90's. New folks with new perspectives came in and are sucking it up too focused on graphics and customization and sandbox games. Its going to take a cycle or two to get these folks out of thier jobs and the 90's generation that grew up on these games is finally getting in there and taking the wheel. Another golden age is coming :)
At the beginning, this song makes you feel like you're in that place where bliss grows from the heart. Then the rest of this song tingles your spine, making you think that you're going to live in that divine, beautiful dream that lifts your soul.
@aliultimate009 this ace combat 2/3 armored core/armored, core:project phantasma, metal gear solid and ridge racer 4 were my fav games of my child hood. 90s games especially japanese ones had so much soul and effort put into them atmosphear wise on a level where i feel todays games lacking that same feel. xbox games seem the most cold.
I have owned a ps3 for a year now yet its never plugged in because my ps1 and nintendo 64 are always in use.
@twinturboteen18 the 90's was a sort of golden era in gaming. Remember htat this was a transition from 2D to 3D and so brought out a lot of creativity. Nowadays, games are used to having high technical standards, but the problem is that people aren't moving on to other aspects of gaming. Like story telling (well, most games aren't). They're still concentrating on making that blade of grass look realistic as fuck.
@WHATISUTUBE Yup. I wonder if gaming is done for, or whether something will happen that'll kickstart another period of creativity. Unfortunately the only scenario I can see right now is the videogame industry as a whole dying on it's arse because it focused too much on making vapid games for casual gamers, and out of those ashes comes the indie market. Of course the indie games would gradually become mainstream, and the industry would collapse again. Sort of like a cycle of rebirth.
@twinturboteen18 I totally know what you mean. Back in the late 90s/ early 00s games felt much more innovative and artistic. The sad part about today's industry is that there are not many small development companies and nothing beautiful or unique if being welcomed or brought to the table anymore. Everything now id just another first person shooter sequel:/ The late 90s and Early 2000s decade truly represents the essence of real gaming.
I remember when developers spend more time in game than in graphics...
