I only have the theatricals. From what I understand, Fellowship has about 30 minutes added, Two Towers has 45 minutes or so added, and The Return of the King extended version has a whopping 50 minutes more than the theatrical version
Yes i notice that because my cousin was watching his theatrical of The Return of the King and it was like an hour shorter then mine..although i very much like mine more then him i have more story and action
I love the music from 0:39 to 1:43....I love Aragorn...I love lotr...I love this vid and..could i ask a favor? If anyone knows how the mucis is called please tell me cause i have the whole lotr trilogy music tracks but i cant spot it...love lotr...thanks

"I would't count on it" aragorn throughs apple at merry,* merry looks at pippin* merry smiles and walks away Aragorn throws an apple andhits pippin in the head* pippin loks into the sky*
Wrong. They added in the bit where Frodo says "I think a servant of the enemy would seem fairer but feel fouler." In additon to the whole marsh sequence.
@sickpeople98 he didn't dance , tom bombadil saved pippen from a tree that was eating him, and gave them all the awesome weapons they use. Including the blade that Merry uses to kill the Witch King. He also explains alot of the storyline to the main characters before setting them on the correct course. Also he married an elf chick, and is the most powerful character in the entire universe of lotr.
@SeedingHatred He may or not be the most powerful character in the entire universe of lotr, too little is known to say that.the other facts are correct.

*what about second breakfast?* how classic can you get. I dont think their little hobbit legs were tall enough to get through that marsh though *sniff* poor merry, being bitten by those insects, and pip, when he fell over, awww

to bad they cut tom bombadil
ilias900 4 years ago 65
They decided a character as complex as tom would take way to much screen time, and he had no huge effect on the story.
BadNeighbour 4 years ago 4
yes but it would be the one of the best scenes

yep

@ilias900 who's "bombadil"
orton2461 1 year ago
@orton2461 Tom Bombadil's in the books. He's a mysterious old man the 4 hobbits encountered in the Old Forest. He aids the hobbits on their journey.
auntiedena72 1 year ago 3
@ilias900
I personally disliked Bombadil in the book. Glad they left him out of the film.
Lamporre 1 year ago
@Lamporre Yeah same here, an unnecessary distraction, nothing more.
Weirdaljackson 11 months ago
@ilias900 yeah, a singing, dancing prick that would add nothing to the storyline was very necessary to the film.
