ahh the tundra away from the village...man i miss barrow...and to the person that last commented...there are houses. those are roads out to the tundra...one reason is because of camping and hunting..roughing it kinda camping.

Not likely. Im about a mile out from the airport. I could also pick up a phone and call for help if i really got stuck....forget the fact that in this video, there's an ice road worker about 100 feet from my truck.

@SorinFromRomania there are plenty of hotels in Barrow. 30 days of night was actually shot in new zealand (still trying to figure that one out), but some of the city scenes were maybe passable as Barrow. Google for "a day at the top of the world" etc for guided tour packages that fly out of anchorage and fairbanks.
