@core6198 I guess the point of critical mass is to protest against cars? Riding fixed is a very different feeling than freewheel and it can really grow on you. I can't go back to freewheel because it feels wrong and kinda pathetic. Until you have tried a fixie, you have no idea what it's like to be one with the bike, the road and the inertia of the rear wheel. Hate is hate nomatter what you do. So it doesn't matter that you are a "hating DH/trail biker".

@core6198 I'm not that much into it and I think it's kinda spoiled to do it here in Copenhagen, Denmark which is probably the coolest city for bikes on the planet. But as far as I know, there is very little space for bikes in the big cities in USA and many car drivers seem to think that bikes don't belong in the street at all. So here the protest is more relevant.

@core6198 I love downhill and trail riding, not much can give you and adrenaline rush like bombing through trees and getting gobs of air. I go into the mountains as often as possible so I can hit the trails. However, i live in a small town in florida and mountains don't really exist here. I also love fixie riding because it adds excitement and challenge to an otherwise bland activity. Zipping through the streets, past cars, and feeling complete control is also a rush. Go for it,keep an open mind
