I really like this scene, just cements so many aspects of the characters. Ceodore's strength, Golbez's atonement, everyone's forgiveness. It's just awesome

Does Golbez's hp ever increase when he levels up?

@Liqiudsidious They begin to increase after a certain level, they don't go up right away because he starts out with a pretty decent amount.

Once he hits LV 56 his HP increases. Of course, he caps in the Gathering at 55. He gets the largest HP increase of any character leading up to LV 99. I think his final HP is around 7500. pretty damn good for a Black Mage.

They waited to literally this part to finally show you Dark Knight Cecil again. Honestly, through the whole game I wondered if he would make an appearence with a new sprite. This part is epic, I played through this part with every single character just to see their reaction

I think this is what should have happend. Cecil:U R Mii DAT's TRUE BUT looks like u got alota buffs from the last time. DK: I had 3000 HP Cecil: WUT!?!? DK: & in 1 version I had 65000 HP. Cecil: WHAT!?!? Golbez: I sez here that u r suppost 2 be sum kinda child of light while I'm Mr. Dark. Cecil: Dmn it's official it sux 2 be a hero. Golbez:but DK. DK:yea? Ironic. Ceodore was dead, and when the Dark Knight was about to attack, the kid "awakens" with 311 VIT.

Its an interesting parallel if you think about this and the original game.

Cecil on his last ounce of strength and Golbez to deliver the killing blow. Then, off-screen, Cecil is healed and able to fight again. Then Rydia appears out of no where and Cecil and her fight against Golbez.

You must have both Cecil and Golbez in your party, not only Cecil, not only Golbez. That way you will have a chance against the Dark Knight.

However, Golbez will die, even if you survive the battle. If you want him alive, you should be with Cecil, Golbez, Ceodore and Rosa in yout party; that way, he will not die.

What happened to Cecil? He doesn't look like himself at the beginning.

He wasn't himself. He was being controlled by someone, in order to get the crystals for some nasty purposes; for this time, he had already been "saved", but he became a kind of "empty shell", wihout talking, nor thinking. That's the plot from Final Fantasy IV: The After Years.

Well, yes. This is when all tales gather in one: The Crystals. You can choose any character from any of the tales, and edit your party while you are advancing in the plot.

ALMOST any character. :P Semantics and such, but there's a few you can't choose for obvious reasons. Biggs Wedge Hooded Man (Both the regular and the variant that had Jump) Dark Kain Monks A-C Guards A-C Fusoya Flashback Golbez (The armored one) I know, it's obvious why you can't choose them, but...you know. :P
