I often see celebrities and famous in the building I work in the city...never would I consider it o.k. to intrude on someones private moments, especially one leaving for 'work'...if they do not even want to acknowledge u on an elevator or seated next to u in a restaurant, they won't 99% of the time....how is someone to react.....just this could have thrown his schedule off enough to ruin a plan....this is done more for the participants egos, rather as courtesy to Neil Diamond.....

We were told before Neil came down that he was running late and would not be able to stop. He was kind enough to have his security let us know. We were totally shocked that he came back and so was his security. Neil was truly humble and very kind. When offered the quilt he said it was too good for him if you listened. He then said he loved it and did want it. I am the lady that made the quilt. We did not know it was being videoed and neither did Neil. He was a true gentleman for sure. Risë

I got the quilt finished and I took it to the concert in Tulsa and gave it to his security to give to him. I am told during the concert they hung it outside his dressing room so he would see it when he finished the concert. That was really cool. Thanks for asking. It was a terrific experience for sure.

This is my sister Rise she is an award winning quilter her work speaks for it self. I had the privilege to see the quilt up close this past Saturday 10/4. Around the first border she has written the names of some of Neil's songs she does this free handed on her long-arm machine. I am very proud of her and as for the rude commits made on this video tell me what talents do you have that you have won FIRST place ribbons on please. Great work Rise.
