Amazing how many GUNS you saw in these old cartoons. And not just a display, but guns firing! Man! Times ave changed in animation. What's amazing about these shorts are hw entertaining they are in spite of such limited animation! Who was the character designer on this?
@TheSubwaysurfer I was kid in the 1960's watched this show every Saturday morning. We had about 25 guns in the house, all my friends did as well. We went out shooting every Saturday afternoon, my dad and I. .22 caliber shells were 25 cents a box, we shot thousands. Yeah, things are a lot different now. There has to be an FBI investigation just to buy ammo.
I don't think you get the joke. A snub nose weapon of any kind is only going to be an advantage if you are going to make somewhat small weapon even smaller. By the time you get to a cannon it becomes rather pointless, even comical...that's the joke here
