  • The 1985 version is not as scary because of the overall feel and the music sounds like a fart. :P

Still the skull is scary looking.

  • @SushiSunshine2000 LOL, didn't think of the 1985 version like that, but I included it since that's wherethe Skull and Face of Death originated from.

  • Was that a human skull?

  • @rico7738 Apparentily it's supposed to be? Weird isen't it?

  • This fuckin video freaked me the fuck out when i was a baby. sreious i use to run from the tv every time it came on, was so bad that my mum had to pre-warn all my babysitters of the fact that i go hysterical when it comes on. lmao, funny how ur mind works when ur a kid aint it?

  • For me I always looked away, put my hands over my ears and go 'la,la,la,la,la'. :D I shared your pain indeed, I once had a terrible nightmare (as a kid) which involved this advert.

  • @David315842 to be honest that was pretty tame but i suppose iam 24 now lol so i wouldnt have any effect on me now but if its things we where scared by as kids then search for two adverts one is called "astonshing sod ape wrecks lives" and "in the summertime" there both drink driving ads from the early 90's if you havent seen them watch them because for me as a kid they where quite scary

  • @liverpool1987nd You're right about one thing. These adverts would scare you as a kid. Seriously though who in their right mind would start a sinus congestion tablet with a human skull that dosen't even look human, answer nobody else did! Those adverts sound like drink driving PSA's which to me aren't frightening, probably because I don't drink and Id rather watch what I want to watch, thank you anyway.

  • This is a test

  • One day I will be a woman, yes I've seen that video as well. :D Couldn't have happend to a nicer skull. Chriddof should do something with the car crime prevention hyenas next. :D

  • you gotta love chriddof

  • I've only just seen that one video, only because it makes fun of my childhood nemesis. The Sinutab Skull of Death!

  • Yea he scares me too

  • It's more of an 'it' :D The Sinutab Face of Death dosen't help either.

  • Sinutab skull stares into your soul.....

  • LOL, :D

  • my friend, that skull will now haunt my nightmares. Thank you.

  • Sorry I should have added a warning. :D

  • I'm not from the UK but I think I saw this on Cartoon Network during the 90's a few times. The skull looks very familiar.

  • Then you would be wrong on all accounts! This advert was only shown in the UK and during the late 80's/early 90's.

  • Oh apart from the last one which was shown in 1985, but again only in the UK.

  • do they sell Sinutab here in the USA?

  • I believe they do, however they have an entirely different box from ours.

  • There is a slight image of a cat before the 1985 Sinutab advert as that was the advert that was shown before it! Anyone saying LOL or mentions this, will have their comment removed!

  • Cheers for link, when i went through your profile i couldn't find it, lol. anyway this did scare me as a child like in 1990 so forth. still remember sitting on the floor eating lunch, with ITV schools on ch4 programs had finished, and this came on.

  • Yep even Channel 4 the most contrivertial channel in the UK wasen't safe from this advert, hence why I use it in my random videos.

  • Sorry I got rid of the link sometime ago but it served me well thank you

  • You're welcome.

  • I hope you dodn't mind but I've actually embedded it on my myspace profile, I had a cold so I made quite a theme about it. It's such an ugly advert but I have such a facination of it.

  • Oh I know that feeling (about having a fasination over this ad), sure that's fine, heck I wouldn't be surprised if you added a link to it on the links list, LOL.

  • Of course I'm hoping that this becomes a major meme, LOL!

  • I do remember this advert though I was only 4 at the time, still I really can't remember being frightened of it. It looks kind of creepy to me twenty years later but also finding it rather cool. Thank you for this.

  • Your welcome. But thanks to random video making, I can finallyget my own back on this advert for scaring me as a child!

  • I love a lot of the 1980s adverts, but this one was creepy. There were several adverts when I was a child in the 70s and 80s which I found spooky, but this was probably one of the worst.

  • Amen to that!

  • Same here. I just watch DVD's most of the time. I usually stick to the old skool stuff.

  • Deformed human skull + lifeless face + scary synterziser music + creepy voice over man = bad advert! I think usually the most unusual of adverts make god random material. I mean you Americans have that HeadOn commercial. ^_^

  • I'm aware of that advert. But let's face it (no pun intended) it just won't work. Besides randomisingt these ad's is the ultimate revenge against this produce which scared many a viewer in the UK who saw this! You had to be there to know what I mean!

  • ah, the 80s as a whole were scary and weird, the adverts were just the icing on a very unpalatable cake.

  • Indeed. Though they were some memorable and harmless ones. I admit a old 80's advert for British Steel looked intimidating to me.

  • you know, i can't decide what was more disturbing, the x ray of the front of the skull or the emotionless face on tghe front of the box.

or the dubbed over bloke at the end of the last advert.

  • It wasen't really the guy or the guy's vopice that was disturbing. It was 'both' the skull and the face. Which I dubbed them as 'The Sinutab Skull Of Death' and 'The Sinutab Face Of Death'. Plus the frightening synthersizer music didn't do the 1988 advert any favours neither.
