  • this is excellent man thank you SOOOOOO MUCH!

  • awesome!

  • Would this work for something that isn't a vocal, like a cymbal crash?

  • Thank you. Excellent tutorial, very easy to follow.

  • thanks cermet the frog

  • before i watch this video, lemme guess, slap on some reverb, extend the decay time, freeze and flatten it, then reverse the sample?

  • Its the Sargento CHEESE guy!!!! :D:D:D:D:D

  • thanks for this

  • Thanks a lot man!

  • What the hay is the vocal saying? Something killa, I will murder you?

  • 3:32 he says "ass" :))

  • clap clap clap ! brilliant tutorial

    thanks for sharing :)

  • CLEVER! =D

This effect makes up up the "AIR DANCE" [I like how you put it =3 "Ghost Effect"] sound which gives trance that uplifting flavor =3

Truly is one of the reasons "Armin Van Buuren's" remix of Faithless "Not Going Home" work so dang well! XD

Thanks for taking the time to share this kindness with our world Nick! =D

  • cheers mate bin trying to find out how to do this for a wile now

  • You.....are the man! I can't thank you enough!!!!

  • awesome

  • simple and full efective

  • I'm sure I am going to feel really stupid when you answer this question but how do you make a processed track? I can't seem to find that anywhere. I am using ableton 6. I have mostly been doing live recording and am trying to expand to making everything except vocals and find that the more I learn the more there is to learn. any help at all is greatly appreciated.

  • @djostara

It's a normal audio track, he just called processed the same way he calle the other original.

  • Great tutorial. I'm using this tonight for my gig. I'm getting paid 9,000 for this gig. My first gig! I'm just about...I can't sleep. And the chicks, that's why I do it. The chicks.

  • Really cool effect. But im afraid i only know how to use ableton 8 in arrangementview. Is there a way to create the reverse vocal effect in arrangement view ?

  • thank you very much! this is a wicked effect indeed

  • Thanks for the great tutorial!

  • since a kid I hear that efect!!!!! I could make it already but that "tasty" thanks!!!

  • Great tutorial! Thank you.

  • thanx mate, great tutorial...i used to do this in audio editor with vsti cappabilities, but that wasn't so flexibile when it comes to arranging...

  • i think it is..i try to do it now..thanks pala

  • someone can tell me how to make wind sound fx in ableton live 8?thanks

  • @namdancer, if you mean that "sweep sound", you can use Operator.

Just chose the Noise wav form, and turn on the filter section. Select a better type of filter for your taste (it could be LF12 for i.e) and turn up the ressonant knob and after that you can automate the "filter knob" (in the filter "section" all inside Operator) to get this kind of sound..

I hope it helped you (if it is the question lol)

    Peace!

  • hey pala im confused about 2 things: operator and noise wav form? if you could elaborate it would be greatly appreciated!

    Cheers

  • Hi Cicek!

Sorry, I did'nt get your question...

    What do you mean?

  • Oh, I think I understood what you mean..

The "Operator" is a FM synth, just like a Vsti synth, developed by Ableton but it's just for Ableton Live. The "noise wav form" is a "wav form" inside of the "Operator synth" and you can choose between a lot of other wav forms to generate and create a sound.

    Peace!

  • ohhh ok that makes sense. do you have to buy Operator separately?

  • Yeah, that's right.

If you buy the "standart" version of Live, you need to buy separetely Operator or you can buy the Live Suite 8, that comes with Operator and some other instruments, sampled instruments...

Check out their web site, (just google "ableton") and choose "products" to see the curret products)

  • awesome
