In regard to changing the Constitution - DON'T YOU DARE - outside of the proper amendment procedures. Revamping the Constitution on the whole simply opens up an avenue to destroy any or all original constitutional protections.

When did Ron Paul go from defending the present Constitution to wanting to repair it and make improvements to it?

He doesn't want to 'change' the constitution.

"That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government" This is just a quote from the declaration of independence.

That is what I thought. Ron Paul does NOT want to change the Constitution. It is that very reason I do not wish to vote for him and part of the reason I decided to run for President myself.

Our present constitution NEEDS some remodeling. It presently contains several loopholes that permit our present politicians to do EXACTLY what they are doing to strip the People of their rights.

Consider the non-representative "Republic" gov we now have puts politicians as rulers and ignores the People.

This is one reason I disagree with Ron Paul, or at least think him not qualified to lead a FREE USA.

We need to close the loopholes in this Constitution that allowed our politicians to do what they are doing now.

It was our foreign policy of having troops all over the world that got us into 911, not the flawed constitution.

It is the loopholes in our Constitution that permit our politicians to act without the consent of the People. Thus allowing politicians to acquire powers the People did not grant to them.

This loophole exists in Constitution Article 4 Section 4 that only guarantees a Republican form of government that does not necessarily have to be REPRESENTATIVE.

We still have a constitutional REPUBLIC, it just is no longer representing the will of the People.
