@morbidious I don't know about your reservations where you are at. But in ND there is no hunting season on our reservations. They natives can hunt all they want, when they want. I would not take any hunting advise from them, and by looking at all the trash and empty beer cans and bottles laying around, they don't respect nature either.

But it provides and excellent source of nutrients for wildlife, that they would not have in the "old days". @Quontomleeeep I am a member of the wildlife federation. Part of what the federation does is purchace natural land for wildlife to live in. After the land is purchased, is is not used for farming. It stays natural, and insures a native way of living for the wildlife. Yes we do hunt on this land, but at least the land will be there for generations to come.

This region is one of the only truly balanced wilderness areas left on Earth because due to fear and for religious reasons man does not venture into it. The only thing they "conserve" is more land to use as a killing field and to propagate tons of "game" animals to kill for sports and trophy. Also CWD was originally spread because of hunters feeding rendered animals to deer and elk and still continue to spread them via supplement feeding, deer feeders, and baiting and that is why it's spreading. You should also google "Hunting can increase wildlife disease epidemic" (It mentions CRE too).

There are more deaths by hunters then any wild animals plus deer, elk , rabbits etc should be the predatory animals natural food but of course the sports killers want the deer, rabbits, squirrels, and elk for sports and "fun" that is why you kill the predators not because they are 'danger" to humans. I say people who live in cities should be taxed disproportionately, and government should encourage rural living, thus reducing the congestion of the human population and discouraging the spread of this destructive urban thinking that births anti-hunters and PETA people.
One bad thing about rural encouragement, is the fact that the humans will be spread out more giving wildlife even less room for living. Where I live that is what is happening. I guess that depends; the problem is the rapid expansion of human populations encroaching on land. We multiply, more land is necessary to house our numbers. There is a tendency to look towards central planning as a cure for that problem, but the only real solution is an end to central planning. Let nature take it's course.

Still ignoring the most important fact that Killing does not work because of compensatory rebound effect. When you mass kill, the production of deer will compensate for the loss with twins and tiplets sometime over compensating. Good for the hunting revenue that is why by killing there is abundance of deer ready for each killing season and why deer vehicle accident are so high . I would not take any hunting advise from them, and by looking at all the trash and empty beer cans and bottles laying around, they don't respect nature either.

But it provides and excellent source of nutrients for wildlife, that they would not have in the "old days". But the extra nutrients that our crops provide for deer means healthy populations, and a lower mortality rate = overpopulation. Mankind needs these crops, so what is one suppose to to?

@Quontomleeeep I am a member of the wildlife federation. Part of what the federation does is purchace natural land for wildlife to live in. After the land is purchased, is is not used for farming. It stays natural, and insures a native way of living for the wildlife. Yes we do hunt on this land, but at least the land will be there for generations to come.

This region is one of the only truly balanced wilderness areas left on Earth because due to fear and for religious reasons man does not venture into it. You have Deer, tiger and all sorts of fauna no overpopulation,disease .

The only thing they "conserve" is more land to use as a killing field and to propagate tons of "game" animals to kill for sports and trophy. Also CWD was originally spread because of hunters feeding rendered animals to deer and elk and still continue to spread them via supplement feeding, deer feeders, and baiting and that is why it's spreading. You should also google "Hunting can increase wildlife disease epidemic" (It mentions CRE too).

There are more deaths by hunters then any wild animals plus deer, elk , rabbits etc should be the predatory animals natural food but of course the sports killers want the deer, rabbits, squirrels, and elk for sports and "fun" that is why you kill the predators not because they are 'danger" to humans. One bad thing about rural encouragement, is the fact that the humans will be spread out more giving wildlife even less room for living. Where I live that is what is happening. Small rural communities are being built all over the place, distroying land that the animals live in, forcing deer into more cluttered areas creating overpopulation in areas. I guess that depends; the problem is the rapid expansion of human populations encroaching on land. We multiply, more land is necessary to house our numbers. There is a tendency to look towards central planning as a cure for that problem, but the only real solution is an end to central planning. Let nature take it's course.

Still ignoring the most important fact that Killing does not work because of compensatory rebound effect. When you mass kill, the production of deer will compensate for the loss with twins and tiplets sometime over compensating. Good for the hunting revenue that is why by killing there is abundance of deer ready for each killing season and why deer vehicle accident are so high . You keep talking about contraception and who well it works.....maybe it works great. But the largest problem about it is funding. Where would you get funding? Oh ya tax payers! He is not an anti-hunters, he is a wildlife contraceptive specialist and if he did not agree with deer birth control he would not give out the information that he has which would help us to use this as a method of deer population control rather then the lethal (which is not about "controlling population" ) that is why they continue to reject them because the abundance of deer is needed for recreational purpose thus the high DVA's in the states and counties that are most hunted.
