  • Wow my brother had the msx15 when i was a kid. this brings back a lot of good memories. Anybody here played spelunker and nemesis on the msx15?

  • Ah sweet memories of the MSX, all I need to find now is Penguin Adventure and Salamander!

  • If you want to play games like this then download a program called emsx and the rom(e.x goonies rom) always for msx

  • Omg.. back in those days i was like 4 years old.. and always went to my cousin to play with the MSX.. and now i was looking just for games that i may reconize.

I reconized this by the graphics.... but the fun part.. after 22 years.. i still reconized the song ! amazing.

  • This was actually a fun game. I completed the Commodore 64 version the day it came out. Man these kinds of vids take me right back.

  • Brilliant game from MSX...... when i first played i was absolutely psyched about it.....the graphics, the sounds, the music.....everything was really well done.......and the bad guy who shot musical notes was very cool too!! A challenging and fascinating game........

  • One of my favorite games!! The BGM&sound are best even this age~

  • Hmm...Where else have I seen that VIT and EXP meter before?

    :P

  • Heh. The guy who comes and takes back the Goonies at the end of the level looks kinda like Steven Spielberg! XD

  • Oh man, this brings me way back... good times.

  • I like Brain Games' PC remake of this, though it's pretty hard. =P

  • @CollisionCat

Thanks for pointing that out. Had no clue there was a remake scene around. Grabbing all Brain remakes.

  • I You'st To Have This Game Absolutly Pricless

  • this game's cheesey but a gud cheesey

  • You should've let the intro play, it is nice. when all those kids line up and then someone comes and steal them one by one. lol

  • great game, i used to play it many times. You could kill the fratellis, you just had to punch them and synchronise the action so that an stalactite or rock crushed them while they were moving. Loved it.

  • I had this on cartridge... one of my favorite games ever! The music brings tears to my eyes!

I remember I found a cheat. If you would jump and the hit rapidly you could fly all over the screen.

So I uses autofire to fly between platforms.

  • Hahaha, gotta love 8 bit Cindy Lauper.

  • Too true, the irony is so chumpy you can carve it.

  • I really loved to play this game on the MSX, it was a great looking game in that time, on of the best I had on the MSX. It was like a "MARIO" game to me. I just recently bought a cartridge of this great game of my childhood, which I played back then on a data recorder using cassetes (copying with the copy program "Tonus" back then... man I really liked to play and like to play on my msx (Knightmare, YiearKungFu, Roadfighter....)

    Great vid man, nice run!

  • the health = exp is like La-mulana and maze of Galious!

  • Why was you going down at 1:30 :) You should have take boots at this moment.

  • Absolutely on of the best games ever made on MSX. One of my MSX favourites. Thousand times better than NES version. Still got an original cartridge.

  • Goonies, knightmare, kings valley, anarctic adventure, nemesis are MSXs best games (from what I remember).

  • I don't know why Konami decided not to use their SCC Sound Cartridge for this MSX game. I thought Konami hated the MSX's internal soundchip.

  • This is one of my favorite all time games and the music is to good for the time, problably even better then the original.

Check out my review of Knightmare, also one of the best games for the MSX

  • ii love this game so much.........and i still miss the music

  • @333sul me too.

  • las Claves para acceder de nivel directamente eran:

  • So sorry people, the corret keyword is just goonies, without the "the".

  • I loved this game too. I can still remember the music and the passwords like one eyed willy.

  • wow thanks for posting that. this was one of my favorite msx games. i think it might be konami's best msx 1 game
