  • The aquarium looks like a television for some strange reason, granted it's probably because putting the image inside a cube wouldnt work as well, but I like to think of it as being because telly monster used to be addicted to television.

  • what if telly met a dinosaur?

  • @steventean What if you met a dinosaur, enough with Barney already!

  • look at Dorothy friends

  • Ha Ha! I did not know that this video existed. I saw this 10 minutes ago in Spanish while watching "Plaza Sesamo" on Telefutura. I was listening and said "That sounds like "Aquarius". LOL. I focused my attention to something else and then I heard the version to "Let the sunshine in" and said "I knew it"! LOL. I immediately got online and did a Sesame Street search so I could hear this in English and it was my first time in English. Now I'm gonna listen to it in Spanish again.

  • Songs by the Fifth Demension

First time I saw this too

  • The Telly Fish is also seen on the Elmo's World sketch that presents Swimming.

  • That's true. This Telly Fish was also used in another "Elmo's World" skit where Elmo was talking about "Fishes" and he said Telly would live in water if he was a fish, and he turned into this same fish.

Plus, this Telly Fish was used on one Sesame Street episode where Wolfgang The Seal made a wish for everything he touches with his nose turns into a fish, and a fairy granted that wish for Wolfgang, and Wolfgang touched Telly with his nose, and he turned into this same fish.

  • Okay.

  • Telly Monster is also seen at the end of this sketch and song. And when he saw that Telly Fish that looked just like him, he seemed to get a special interest with that kind of fish.

  • When the fish go off the camera for at least a couple of seconds, some of you would think "Where'd they go?". So therefore, that's something that I think of whenever I see that scene appear.

  • This is probably the first time the Telly Fish is seen.

  • It is, This was first seen on Season 22.

  • Get ur facts straight.

  • I think was from 1997.

  • I am getting my facts right.

  • First shown in 3849.

  • That must be Season 30.

  • That it is.

  • Yes it is.

  • Yes. It's true.

  • Okay, then.

  • Ooh, I love this song so much.

  • I'm guessing Stephine D'Aburzzo preformed the first fish that comes out. I know that Kevin Clash preformed the grean plant, and David Rudman preformed one of the snails.

  • gr8 song. Thanks for putting up!

  • Its the age of aquariums!

  • When I first saw this and that telly-fish jus bust out singing I like fell out on the floor, that is the weirdest yet cutest thing I've ever seen in my life.

  • One of my favs from way back in 1st grade. Though, I could've sworn that the ending was in the typical blank areas.

  • The Fifth Dimension would be proud.

  • why the hell do two of the fish have hair?

  • It's a spoof of the musical "Hair",so those two fish with hair are supposed to be parodies of two of the characters from it.

  • Not bad for a newer sketch.

  • Kicks butt compared to some of the cover parodies today!

  • @ISNorden Why did they wait till the 1990's to sing this, they could've sung it 1969 (maybe in episode 14) as "Aquarius" with Jim, Frank, and Carroll as the hippies and Jane Henson as the lead hippie's voice

  • @muppetlover16: You've got a darn good point; a lot of the Season 1 episodes show Muppets performing popular song covers, with no change to the lyrics or tune at all. I'm wondering whether CTW had trouble getting permission to use this song for 20+ years...it would have made a lot more sense to do the Fifth Dimension's music while they were still on the charts!

  • @ISNorden Here are more covers I would've love to hear

Goin' up the country (episode 69)

    Light my Fire (episode 12)

Can't Buy me Love( episode 100)

    Searchin' (episode 82)

who do you think would sing them, and seeing as these are in 1969 be creative
