to thanh20 if you see the latest brackenwood video it shows Bitey's kind attacking some giant creature then it cuts out. I believe the giant thing killed the majority of them and the rest either destroyed it or went into hiding. I say the hiding part because of the ending, a woman flies and lands in front of Bitey but you can't tell what she really is because of her cloak.

@Grunthor17 I think the woman is a Wee (witch) In Bitey of Brackenwood he gets in a fight with one. I don't know if Adam Phillips simply remastered the old Wee or that women is a completely new character. However you see Wee fighting alongside the Dashkin, and if you look at the fingertips of the Wee in "The last of the dashkins" you'll notice that there covered in the same water magic that the old wee used on Bitey.
