In a article i saw years back a car apparently stopped in the middle lane because they wanted to get off the highway the truck avoided that car but said he had no choice but to hit the car on the shoulder so he lined it up to hit him square in the back. The driver was never charged but the car that caused him to swerve was ticketed for causing the crash

@OnlyAKnife You have been in/driven a loaded semi or taken much physics hey. Most Large hauling trucks travel on shoulders because of load width and people passing them so often. Its a LOT of weight moving at a high highway speed. They don't stop on a dime by any stretch nor do can the turn sharply as with a hitched load this will cause a it to flip or jack-knife. That said it did look like the truck may have been speeding. >>

I noticed a couple interesting things.. The car for one pulls over, but he is actually on the white line with his tire. BUT, as the semi takes the car way, you see a pickup truck in the slow lane and it looks like he is going a lot slower.. maybe the semi (not paying attention) swerved to avoid hitting the pickup and got the car instead. @mejw1 actually, if the driver pulled all the way over instead of leaving his car exposed to the right lane, then they would still be alive. Where he was parked he would have to step out into traffic to get out of his car. You learn about things like this in driver's ed.

After a lot of research using just the full clip of this and google maps, I found a new article about this. The driver of the car (a women) was not killed, neither was the other passenger. However, a 4 year old boy was killed. The car was actually sent across 3 roads and 2 mediums, up a hill, and through a fence before stopping.

In case you don't know the right thing to do in America when you get a cop in back of you: turn on your right signal, pull as far off of the road as you can, turn on your hazards lights, and put it in park. Cops would much rather ticket you for speeding if you pull to the left shoulder, or otherwise put your lives in danger.
you can go to the nearest exit. You dont have to pull over until youre in a place that you feel is safe. This guy thought the road was safe, he was clearly wrong. ALSO the stupid ass semi driver should have merged into the left lane anyway since there was a traffic stop going on.

you can go to the nearest exit. You dont have to pull over until youre in a place that you feel is safe. This guy thought the road was safe, he was clearly wrong. ALSO the stupid ass semi driver should have merged into the left lane anyway since there was a traffic stop going on.

wtf, the car driver put himself in a more dangerous position than if he had of moved right off the road. But had the semi of been between the lane lines no accident would of happened at all. Therefore I'd say the fault of this accident would lie 60/40 in favour of the truck driver.

young guy 19yrs old coming home from a night out, cross the road at the r/bout, cops took a short cut wrong way round the r/bout and killed him, they werent even in an emergency, they got off with that one by sending them to work a different area so dont say to me about the cops being all perfect cause buddy that makes me pretty mad, I knew these people

there was a young couple sitting at the side of the road in there car at night talking, she was pregnant, cops driving high speed ran in to the back of them and killed them both, there only comment in the local press was the guy had been done for drugs in the past, that was the end of it
