Awesome man, takes me back. I had a flashback about this band when I heard of a current band (2010) had supported Metallica. I'm sure Sword supported Metallica in 80s/early 90s. Don't quote me but I saw them support someone and subsequently bought the vinyl. BTW who was the single dick who didn't like this ?

I think the confusion is that The Sword from Austin TX opened up for Metallica on their last tour.

However, this band is called Sword from St Bruno QC, and they opened up for Metallica along with Metal Church on the Puppets tour in Montréal, Québec City, Rimouski, Chicoutimi, and Victoriaville.

This is one Canadian band, that has really caught my attention. I heard them about a year ago, for a first time, and they've haunted in the back of my head ever since. What a shame, that the "Metalized" debut or theirs seems to be harder to get, than I first tought.

SWORD was soooooooo powerful live. I'll never seen a band come into the Moustache and blow the roof off the place like, these dudes from St. Bruno did... Mike Plante's Riffs were incredible. I wrote the lyrics to FTW with Rick Hughes, the chorus was originally Face The World, instead of Follow The Wheel

Metalized is one of the greatest forgotten albums- EVER. The fact that these guys never got their props is nothing short of a travesty to say the least. Any metal fan worth their salt knows who Sword were and has heard Metalized.

C'est vrai que sword étais puissant en svp!!! J'ai eu la chance de les voir a rimouski, il assurais devant Metal church et metallica (tourné master of puppet). Metallica jouais leur toune 2 fois plus vite et le tout avec un gros rumble de bass , Metal church on entendais juste le drum et le vocal qui étais jamais sur la note mais sword impeccable tout étais parfait . Bref les gars avais surement leur raison de mettre un terme au band mais.....
