E já agora seguir-me no Twitter! :D

  • Hmmm, he sounds like Rodrigo from Big Brother lol

  • I keep wondering why you break the path with the pen tool, instead of just using the curves to your advantage.

If you break the path, you will most likely see a bit of a corner, and if you don't break them, you will get smooth curves.

You should only break the path when you're at a corner in the picture, in this case at both ends of the mouth.

    Nevertheless, great tutorial! :)

  • it was a very great tutorial! worked very well for me. but the accent was a little hard to understand sometimes. try speaking a little slower

  • Hi, when I tried to remove some shine off the face, my brush doesn't cover like yours. it covers the area with noticeable circles of colour. How can I get a brush effect that doesn't show? Thanks. Very useful tutorial btw.

  • @TheRoadToShambala You need to decrease the brush hardness. Right click and decrease it. Thanks for your comment and please subscribe :)

  • Very nice. I would like to know if you can demonstrate how this retouching will look on an African-American model? Thank you.

  • lol MAKE ZOOM aw

  • very very nice..hehehe

  • 2:16? selecting colors for brush by clicking the color of the face? howd you do it?

  • before, and after... very very nice!!!!!!

  • when i press shift+ctrl+alt+A it happens nothing.... why is that??

  • @cipscirip Sorry, it's because I changed the short key. The original one is shift+ctrl+alt+E. I'm sure it'll work :D

  • LoL love his voice

  • but, what are the steps do do the hair thingy?

  • LOL at 7:06 he said five-ty percent instead of fifty percent? LMFAO

  • great tutorial

  • HEY GUYS NJSVHHKIMDNFJIRHNCTKRDNG CUFKDN AND IM GONNA TEACH YOU ABOUT PHOTO RETOUCHING.

  • @cupofcakee WOW you just made an amazing comment!! I could you do that? I'm really impressed!

  • @cupofcakee LMFAO! You made my day! xD

  • voice. so. annoying.

  • @MrKramitdefrog If you don't like it, so don't watch it.

  • Well I see some people don't like this much, but this is going to help me a lot with certain editing processes I didn't know about. Wasn't too keen on the lip editing in this video, but SO HAPPY for the eye portion!

  • is this Cameron from House?

  • Wow great tutorial very helpful, informative ad easy to follow!

  • NOOBS..

  • Do you call this professional? Come on! It's nothing professional in using the brush tool and then changing the opacity. This is noobish!

  • @FLooDyNice I know what I'm talking about. This is a professional way to edit images. I learned those techniques with one of the best Photoshop books. If you think Martin Evening is not a great professional ok...

  • @drekw2 I still hold that this isn't professional. Maybe the techniques are good. In fact, the result is the one that counts. But this is the problem. I don't like the result very much. Sorry! :/ But.. Keep working! :)

  • @FLooDyNice No problem. I was thinking to make a new tutorial about that matter!

    Thanks for your comment! :)

  • @FLooDyNice Actually, a lot of people do paint the face... it isn't "noobish" at all.

  • @FLooDyNice You must be a high end fashion and advertising photo editor????

I have just completed my degree in Pro Photography at the top college for photography in the uk, and this is exactly how we were taught retouching, from the very beginning. I've worked with amazing high end editors who use this very professional technique. I'd love to show my tutor this comment but I'm scared he would hunt you down and force you to agree to never impose your incorrect opinions on others.

  • @cammy3005 I didn't impose my opinions. And I'm not a high end fashion editor. I just said that it doesn't seem professional to me. Is it so difficult to understand? Or aren't you able to read properly? Anyway the result in this photo is just ugly. And that's just an opinion.

  • @FLooDyNice Let me try this reading thing you seem to think I can't do 'Do you call this professional? Come on! It's nothing professional in using the brush tool and then changing the opacity. This is noobish!' - Hmmm yes, I must apologise. There's absolutely nothing imposing about your comment and you clearly made your point that in your opinion only, it seemed unprofessional. Funny I saw no mention of 'SEEM' anywhere in that comment. Must be my terrible reading skills. tisk :)

  • @cammy3005 I explained that in the very next comment 'I still hold that this isn't professional. Maybe the techniques are good. In fact, the result is the one that counts. But this is the problem. I don't like the result very much.' I think that, I don't want to impose anything to anyone. OK, let's stop this! It's great that you taught retouching at a top college in the UK. Good luck retouching!

  • @FLooDyNice There are no tricks to retouching, and no set way for any process, different techniques for different people, the majority of professional retouching utilize four basic tools, the healing brush, the clone stamp, the brush tool, and the erase tool. I'm sorry if you're disappointed but his tutorial is actually quite accurate.

  • Nice. I actually learned to do this with Paint.net as well, and use very similar techniques as well. Meaning, I've been doing the right thing all along. Thank. Muito Obrigado.

Puedo leer el Portugués como, tan fácil como el Español, y como el Italiano. Saludos hermano, desde México y Estados Unidos. Eres como un hermano de todos modos.

  • NOOOOOOBBBBBBB!!!!!!

  • Very interesting, never seen it done this way, THX

  • @RussianKalinka Thank you very much for your comment! Please subscribe to be updated on the upcoming content! thanks :D

  • Great tutorial

  • Are you portuguese or something? that accent! ahah

  • @lauramager Yes I'm Portuguese! I was a little sick on this video! :D

  • @drekw2 aaahhhh bem que eu viii!!! isto nota-se à distancia ;P

  • did you take this image yourself?

  • If i gave you a picture to fix up for me do you think you can ???

  • @Babygrlage I'm not sure if I have this image but I will try to find it! By the way there's some great images on google.

I contact you when I have the image!

    Cheers

    André

  • obrigada >D

  • nice work!

  • Very helpful. I wish the volume was higher I had my speakers and YouTube volume at max and was straining to hear but otherwise good video. I always learn something watching these tutorials. I don't think I'll ever know EVERYTHING there is to know about Photoshop.

  • I could totally notice you were portuguese just by the way you spoke :P And the photo has got to have been retouched in advance because... look at the lighting... look at the black background and notice the lack of stray hairs against the black background. And no one's skin is that perfect. Other than that, good job. Total thumbs up.

    Subbed you ;)

  • i just wish that all the tutorials started with non-retouched photos :(

  • @innysik2008 The original image is the RAW picture, so it's non retouched. However if you want to learn how to smooth skin very effectively on Photoshop, I recommend you watch this tutorial: Make up techniques: Smooth skin (search it on my channel because the link doesn't work in the comment...)

I hope this helps and please SUBSCRIBE :D

  • It's SHIFT - CMD - OPTION - E, not 'A'.

  • In my Photoshop the short cut is SHIFT - CMD - OPTION - A. Maybe I changed the short cut, but I'm sorry for any confusion. However, the idea is create a merged layer with all the layers without deleting them.

  • You have certainly changed it for some reason. The default one is with 'E'. You should add an annotation to the video and maybe the description too to avoid (further) confusion.

  • Thanks for advice me! Please subscribe if you liked my tutorial. Thanks

  • U are amazing! thanks for these tutorials they are very very helpful!!!!

  • perfecttttttt

  • ei i have a question... each time i try to press shift+alt+cntrl+a there's nothing happen??

  • What press shift+alt+cntrl+a does is create a merged layer with the layers below. For instance, in this tutorial I created a merged layer with the Background (original image), and with the layers where I improved the hair.

But if this shortcut doesn't work with you, duplicate each layer (Background+layer above), then select them and go to Layer<Merge Layers.

I hope this helps and please subscribe! :)

  • 3 Simple but definitly good techniques..

I knew 2 of them.. but I definitly like how you smoothend the skin..

Next tut make something about using liquify.. its a very useful filter and easy to use..

    great job!

  • Thanks for your comment, I really apreciate it.

I'm working for some new videos for the makeup series.

    Please subscribe to staytuned! :)

  • Claro, sem sobra de dúvida. Falou muito bem. Obrigado pelo tutorial.

  • Por alguma razão você me parece saber falar português. Seu sotaque... Gostei muito do tutorial. Muito mesmo. A parte que você selecionou a côr você não disse o shortcut, penso eu. Mas valeu e estarei sempre aqui. Thanks.

  • interesting how this is achieved. thank you for sharing this

  • great tutorial!

  • Great tutorial Drekw2!!! Really usefull!
