Best purchase yet! i have 1 and i recommend every 1 to buy 1. also look up hz super cub mods. go bigger tires and make sure u tape off the wings and fuselage it'll make it more durable and last hell of alot longer. Rip out the act system its not needed cause it can get confused and cause u to crash. happy flying ;D
Very nice flight, I just bought one and have been waiting on the winter weather to subside, it's just to rough right now. Again you have flown a beautiful maiden flight....joe
People, yes, I made a mistake by calling it Automatic Crash control and the maker of this model calls it ANTI-CRASH control. However this is not a justification to come here and leave your name calling at me! Please go somewhere else!
Great vid.. I have one, it's an amazing plane to fly.. I find 1/2to 3/4 throttle then trimming the plane to fly level greatly increases batt life.. I never fly full throttle, only if I'm going to try inverted flight. Yes I can do that with this plane.. And I'm very new, to r/c planes.. This is my first plane and I've only flown it 5 times.
If you manage throttle and it is not that windy, those 7-Cell, 2/3A Size, Ni-MH's can last up to 15 minutes. I would dare say not to fly the model more than 12 minutes as to maintain a good margin of bringing back the model with power.
@theben543 Speaking of act, I've been trying to find a way to see if the act cameras can be used to take pictures or better yet video. Do you know of a way to do this?
last time i flew mine was like 6 months ao on the vacation last year i threw everything out except of the electronics and i just bought the prop and fuselage .. cant wait till it comes ama build it and then buy the resto f the part the main wing and the tail... awesome plane.. awesome vidoe good quality ... nice flying........ good SHIT man !!!!
hate that when i advertantly crash , but im getting better and panicking less hey i recognize that flying field- oops nope - nice flight!!! landing too
i've had this for 3 years now, and only flown it once (i was 12 at the time) and crashed it. i havent used it since as i'm scared i will break it - have you got any tips for me?
Best tip is judt to get back out there. I've crashed mine numerous times, but each time, i've learned a little more from what I did wrong and now, i'm an expert at this plane. Just get back out there.
how does the plane turn properly withought ailerons im going to buy this plane soon and i would just like to now y does the plane not have ailerons just a rudder and elevator flap to turn it. does it not need a aileron.????????????
Top vid I've subscribed! Not sure if this is the trainer for me. I think if you rely on it's correction of flight feature you'll learn a lot slower maybe? Still a good plane.
you know, you can turn the feature OFF. I've actually never flown with ATC ON, this was even my first plane. its VERY easy to fly! Just keep clear of trees and make sure its not alot of wind. for training that is
yea i agree its a bit hard to land because it mostof the time digs in nose first in the ground LOL, but it is so easy to fly, my brother got one and we flew together and where touching wings in midair, jst use the speed to controll the decent not the elevater, that makes it faster and more likley to crash,, good luck flying
Please people do not post any recommendations on modifying the STOCK electronics here at this Video web site, do it at the Appropriate discussion threads!
These Hobbyzone Super Cubs are amazing RC aircraft, possibly the best beginner RC Aircraft ever made, that even pros enjoy flying them. I ended up getting a used one and they are so stable. Hobbyzone scored with this product!
Yes, this model is really easy to fly and land. Assuming a moderate control horn setting for good throw movement on the elevator, you can grease the landing everytime.
I got it and I crashed into a tree on my first try. I find it hard to fly but it's just because it was my very first time flying and im 11 and I was nervous.
Just got one of these myself as my first plane, and found it very easy to control. The ACT kept me from doing anything stupid, and it was very easy to get up in the air and start doing passes like a pro...my only coplaint is something of a lack of power, but that's also the difference between a brushed trainer type motor and a brushless or ducted fan I guess.
Got one of these birds myself and flew it for the first time last week and what a nice flyer it was.... good that you can fly these at a nice slow speed to handle them for people like me that are new to rc planes.... good vid fella keep up the good work.
just one little fault thi have to point out and that is that is called anti crash control and not automatic but an amazing vidoe can u do another one wit maybe a stall turn?

The opening remarks is incorrect, sorry people.
The correct Battery Pack that Gerry used on his maiden Flight was the STOCK 7-Cell, 2/3A size, 1000mAH, Ni-MH pack.
guapoman2000 3 years ago
Yes, the STOCK electronics has a low Battery Voltage Cutoff and your control surfaces will still be active.
