This is nice!!! Have you ever heard the "Metroid Metal" remix of Brinstar Depths? It's also awesome. Also if you haven't heard his music, check out "Helix6".
Google, "Metroid Metal" and "Helix6"!
As some feedback I would say maybe add a deeper base at parts like around 4:00.
How do you mean the sample aint even locked down? Do you mean that I havn't kept the sample in a short permanent loop? Or do you think that the sampled metroid song is just one big long song?
Just for clarification the sampled metroid tune only lasts around 1.5 minutes. As the tunes were going i looped various elemens of the tune and jumped between these loops at various points while adding and building effects into the song.
mmmm de ser real el control de ese tipo es muy bueno jajaja si se la jalo nintendo con su control pero ese programa trabaja mejor con unas tornas y un final scratch
I'll be testing the setup at a live Gig over easter so hopefully I'll get some Videos of that event.
Meanwhile I'll be experimenting with some new sounds quite soon and additional functionality. I'll be keeping the 8-Bit theme so if you guys have anything you want to hear let me know!
DUDE THIS BE BITCHIN. Nice job mate, continue to do this shit. I wanna fuck your brains out so i can study the gooey brainzz and learn how to do this.
There are many people who can play instruments and the music is shit...country&western for a start...Just cos you can play an instrument doesn't automatically make the music you create better then someone who uses technology as an instrument.
Ok firstly thanks for even taking time to watch. Secondly, I dont claim to be a musician, I'm nintendo geek who just so happensto like messing about with music on my laptop.
Granted, this doesn't take as much skill as learning to play an instrument but It does take some considerable dedication to reach a certain level (And I'm nowhere near there yet!)
i think you missed on this one. hey, maybe next time you could just learn how to play an instrument, though. that actually takes talent, and the music sounds good.
Yeah this is real. I recorded the audio directly onto my laptop - thats why I'm wearing headphones.
I'll be following this up by showing in depth how I achieved this mix by looking how different functions on the wii remote controlled different aspects of the mix.
what exactly are you controlling ? i can see you are maybe using traktor. maybe a closer view of the screen next time , or split screens showing the comp and your hands. I'm using 5 wiimote's to control ableton live. each one with different effects and clip launchers. its fun, glovepie is pretty cool hey?
This is still sweet. I've been going back and listening to this every couple months for a long time now. Great job!
