  • so she is a self harmer? :O

  • Just for the record, I think that screaming into a pillow can be very therapeutic/helpful. ;-) I'm someone who actually doesn't cry ENOUGH, so it's a great release sometimes. Anyway, I just felt compelled to share that little tid-bit about myself. =-p

  • @sjm8890 getting me to kiss your ass :) do you always tell people you have never meet or even know anything a bout too kiss your ass? did I say something to offend you? wow! what gives man? did you even watch this video maybe try paying attention maybe if you did my words would have made more sense right? my last word to you is the best word Peace

  • @RoyElvisBand my problem with you is that your shoving your optimistic bullshit down our fucking throats, i'm a die hard pessimist, and it pisses me off when you people preach your ignorant ways of life

  • @sjm8890 dude you need to shut the computer off your way to serous I don't push my life on anyone I don't even go too church I write a lot of song lyrics if you don't like it don't watch or don't read what I write.

one of my blogs has 45,000 pages views so I will keep writing this is my last response to you this is about you not me have a nice day and life

  • Oh yes ...birth control made me crazy too. I have an IUD since 6 years and i love it.... I experienced exactly the same things....

  • I really want to get the IUD but someone told me that I couldn't get one unless I have had a kid? Is that true? Does it hurt?

  • @xbellababii

No thats not true. Im 22 and i got my IUD about 6 months ago... i have no kids! It was a really fast procedure and im not gonna lie it did kinda hurt and i had cramps all day long but ive seriously never felt happier! I completely agree with Elle and i too was really depressed and cried alot but not anymore :D

  • I completely hear you on hormonal reactions- I and a lot of other friends I have, have experienced the neg effect of birth control pills. Personally, I recommend checking out the benefits of Sympto-thermal method of NFP because it is completely healthy and 99% reliable (2007 German study). The sad truth about the IUD is that it doesn't prevent conception- it prevents a conceived life from implanting on the uterus. It causes an early abortion :( and can cause infertility and or endometriosis.

  • Great video, Elle! very informative! thanks for sharing your experience.

  • Birth control made me a monster...ugh. =(

  • skater..wait liftergirl

  • I'm glad you are on a more even keel now Elle :) I never had the issue with birth control or anything but I used to have depression, self harm and suicidal ideation and it's amazing now to look back on it and realise that I have come so much further now and I am totally recovered :) Reflection is a great thing!

  • I think they really suit her actually. Go away.

  • i love you elle! stay strong, ur a beautiful smart girl

  • why would she need to do that? it's a video about birth control.

    idiot

  • Nice to know there are more normal people in this world. Well, for me having people who go through this just like me is called normal in my opinion. Thanks for sharing.

  • I was on mycrogynol, ( which is the general brand here in Holland) when I first started birth control, and that was a bitch, gave me headaches, crappy moods and made me nauseous. I'm on Yasmin now, which is a lot better for me, since my period pain is less worse ( I had really bad pains), but one of the rejections I first had against birth control ( the pill-kind) was the hormones. it would freak me out that I'd be messing with my own natural hormones like that. So I might just check IUD out

  • The non-harmonal IUD is awsomme! I will never look back! The application is painful as blades of hell but far worth it's weight in emotional, mental, and physical health.

  • You easily pick too heavy sets and do far too many reps - be careful with alcohol, when you lift heavy metal, Elle!

  • That makes a lot of sense, I went through the same exact thing. I was on Yaz for about a year and went through a crazy depressive stage of my life. Now that I am off it I feel so much happier and back to my normal peppy self. I since will never suggest birth control to my friends since it gave me such a horrible experience. Girls should really know how dangerous these pills can be to their bodies and minds. Thanks for sharing your experience with it!

  • I'm curious why you made this comment? I went to your channel and assumed you were just another YT hater, but I watched a couple of you vids and you seem like a very nice person! Remember that Marilyn Monroe had a mole and it was considered a "beauty mark". But lets assume she DOES want to get rid of them. She is a poor college student, so unless you are going to pay for the laser removal, they arent going anywhere. Everyone has some moles, so I dont see them being a problem at all; it's normal.

  • Hey! That is really weird how similar our stories are. I'm not on birth control, I'm just naturally crazy haha. Anyway.. Something I didn't say in my videos is that I started cutting too. And I also have stopped drinking because I do think that is part of the problem. Thank you for responding to the video and I hope things continue to be "hunky dory" :)

  • I love how honest you are. Thanks for sharing and helping other girls out.

  • I felt the same way when I was on birth control. I was on it for 6 years and I went through a lot of the same stuff you did and was just miserable. Now I'm on the nuva ring and not only is it a million times easier, but I feel SO much better :)

  • I'm sure you know that the Nuva Ring uses hormones just like "the pill" does. So even though you aren't having the same side effects you used to, you are still running the risks that are associated with hormone birth control. That's whats so great about the IUD, it's not chemical but physical instead.

  • Yeah if it wasn't so expensive I would get an IUD, but I get the nuva ring for free from my dr. And it's not so much the chemicals in birth control I'm personally worried about as the side effects that I got from the specific chemicals that were in yasmin.

  • You're such a humble, honest person. Very admirable.
