  • It is interesting to observe senior members of the Church of England promoting selective obedience to God's Holy Law (Leviticus 18,22), but are there any other parts of the Holy Bible that Christians are sanctioned to ignore if they prove to be incompatible with certain lifestyle choices or levels of depravity?

If a significant number of the clergy should develop sexual interests in animals or children, perhaps they could also ignore Leviticus 18, 6 and Leviticus 18, 23.

  • @Masonic1016 You forget that God did not write the Bible! The Bible was written by humans that is why it contains so many myths and legends. Most Christians agree that the Bible is not totally infallible but there are still people who believe every single word of it is true. They are called fundamentalists!

  • i think it offensive to promote homophobia, help spread aids , support bigotry and destroy other cultures such as the "church has and is doing now and throughout history

  • So the churches have to decide for themselves according to Fraser. And he will obey the rules of the church. It's all about love, he says.

God is love and as our Creator it is His prerogative to specify which expressions of love are, or are not, legitimate. Like most of the decadent church Giles sweeps under the carpet the absolutely clear Biblical commands and guidelines. Of course he doesn't live by the Bible but by the rules of the church & the majority.

God is no part at all of the CoE.

  • He's absolutely right. The Church will get over it. It needs to to survive, plain and simple.
