Fantastic pictures and music from the time was a healthier and more colorful place. I always enjoyed your Lyrichord recording and it's great to be able to see pictures of how you made it. Thanks!
Watching These Vids I Realize That There Are Still A lot Of Africaness In The Persons That Have Been Dispersed Through Out The Diaspora...Things That I Thought Were Unique To The Bahamas...I See Mirrors Of It In Mama Africa...
isn't it crazy and awesome at the same time. In Puerto Rico we have Bomba, it has many rhythms in it's drumming and it comes from the Ashanti people of Africa, Cuba has Tumba Francesa and Haiti as well. Even Argentina and Uruguay have Candombe originally from Africa. I love it. Our foods and spices have African roots. We owe alot to Africa in terms of music, food, dance and even language. A shame some people cannot see that.
@congaddict Im happy to hear you say that, cause a lot of times I see a Pueto Rican, Dominican, Haitian and at times Cubans and i think wow, this person's bone structure is reminiscent of a family member of mine(I am an Asante from Ghana)....a lot of American too strike me as some how Asante but definatly a lot look Igbo-Nigeria-or Ewe-Ghana- but mostly I just think its beautiful to see how even though we are generations apart, many things stayed the same besides our genes.
Superb series ! Such valuable work , hats off to all !
