  • that was nastyyyyyy, NYC stand up!

  • yes its dirty, but don't be assholes. This is a show band. NOT a DCI or WGI band. There is some amazing talent on this line here. The only thing i can really point out that is lacking is work on timing. Get that down, and this line would be phenomenal.

  • how do u smoke somebody and then walk off like datLOL

  • the dude on the end kinda big is the percussion director for ncat leggoo harvey

  • PUUUUUUUURRRRPLEEE!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • This is the only show band that is actually good lol. They made it sound and look good with good technique I'm impressed.

  • Eww that was dirty

  • What we have here is something amazing. Makes me wish I were actually good enough to be on the drumline instead of keyboard percussion...

  • they do those bass splits so well they really are good musicians

  • No "Reversed" Traditional grip, I'm impressed

  • one word to describe vid. FRESH.

  • Pretty cool! But I must say that the snares were a little dirty...

  • Beautifully excecuted

  • "They did a roll, dawg!"

  • Thay was fuckin clean babie! You beat USC drumline cin Condense!

  • I like how at the end they gave the other band they props...true respect

  • This makes me want to go back through school, and not take the Clarinet, but the Drums....

Hell, I'm not even that good with the Clarinet!

  • This is a high school line? 0.0

  • EPIC!!!!

  • That true drumline thang. Great job.

  • as a percussionist in highschool, ive learned that everybody on the line has different styles, i personally luv show style, but i am amazed by corp style 2, we learned 2 appreciate and play both styles, so 2 me all those assholes who talk shit about these guys obviously dont appreciate wut they do 2 much, i luv wut i do so regardless of the style i like and appreciate the different styles and the people who take time out 2 bust there ass 2 come out and do this

  • Search on youtube:

"misery game" Best new music video

  • kinnda sloppy if u ask me

  • it would be much more enjoyable if this was a bit cleaner... the snares are way too dirty to be doing all the fancy shit

  • Why all the commenting backandforth, just watch and Listen and Enjoy!!!!!!!! OK?

  • @zpowerful everyone's a critic and youtube is a great way to say something.

    OK!

  • @fobulousfl1p Well are we arguing? I just happended upon this video because I love drums peroid.

  • @zpowerful dirty drumming?

  • The only thing I want to know is: why a black-only fire percussion? I mean, it doesn't really seem relevant to me. It's like having an all-ginger lineup. It doesn't seem the least bit relevant to the music (it would have been differently if the lineup had been solemnly based on a type of music typical for black culture, but skin colour alone seems irrelevant)

    Then again, I'm not American.

  • man so different from down here in the south (houston) gah.

  • Absolutely amazing talent! Would you ever consider coming to OHIO to our band show?

  • at the beginning it was like haha tag you're it

  • Hi, does anybody know how to contact this group for bookings?

  • @pecpercussion Why on earth would anyone ever want to contact this group for bookings? these are hands down some of the worst percussionists I've ever seen. they sound like popcorn. Absolutely no clarity at all and horrible technique from just about every drummer. If you would like to see quality music from the best, search pretty much any DCI line....

  • @TheRyan909 dude they are entertaining to watch which is what people want. the average person cant just sit there and watch a drumline play nothing but rudiments and warm ups at a very fast pace like us drummers can. i like both show and corps style drumlines and bands but its people like you that make me hate corps style bands cause ya'll think ya'll know everything and dont. so what it isnt clean and perfect who cares. as long as they are having fun and doing something positive is what matters

  • @TheDragonmaster18 I agree, at least there drumming. I don't know everything. But they have to be judged on some level! Does the worst person with technique make the line? This can't all be just a "show". What about in a competition? Does the dirtiest line win? This isn't about DCI...This is about what's good and whats bad. You wouldn't claim two singers singing off key and out of sync is good. How's this different? You can't take what's bad and just claim it's a different style. IT'S JUST BAD!

  • @TheRyan909 here's the thing with this style. they dont relly have competitions where they judge based on technique like corps style drumlines do. due to the fact that there are many different styles of drumming in show style drumlines their competitions are more of showcases than competiting. and when all you're doing is showcasing your talent there is no winner. and besides this is an old clip of this drumline. look up rheir most recent line.

  • @TheDragonmaster18 Every corps has there own style and approach. I understand this is their style, but why can't their style be played clean with solid technique? Ive seen WGI shows use hip-hop (Etiwanda H.S. 03') and Evinesence (Chino Hills H.S. 04'). Every line is unique and has their own style, but their style is played well. Regardless of the style, clean is clean.... and dirty is dirty. This is dirty. I did see their recent videos... they were much better.

  • @TheRyan909 also this is an all star band so not everyone is on the same level ofplaying. as well thee is nome for perfection in these types of bands cause they're always getting booked for performances. so you only have time to memorize your music and hope for the best.cause you might only get in one rehersal for a perfeormance and need a whole bunch music to perform as well as cadences for the drumline. and unlike dci or wgi the drumlines dont get their cadences on sheet music.

  • @TheRyan909 also the way the drumers learn their music is by ear. the old members just teach the new membes what they already know and after that its up to you to catch on. in these types of bands there really is no one on one instruction you have either sink or swim.

  • @TheDragonmaster18 Do me a favor bro. search "Totem-RCC". You seem like an open minded guy, tell me what you think.

  • @TheRyan909 saw the show and loved it. but also remember this, RCC has people who spend their whole lives practicing drums and having one on one instruction as well as have people who've performed or still perform with DCI as oppose of the drummers in this video do this for fun and something to do.

  • Yall Better Go Head! Love That!!!

  • @thebluman. Stfu! You keep wathcing the videos so you must like the shit dumb fxck.

  • Another video of sloppy drum playing and people who actually think this is good.

  • you can never have enough stick tricks

  • had no idea this was against largo High but haahahahahahahahaha to funny get your chops together

  • hey como se iama esta cadencia ? alguien me podria decir como se llama esta cadencia y a demas otra de los black fire ? =)

  • ROTFLMAO BRA SAID, "THEY DID A ROW ALL THE WAY DOWN" at the end ! Blue Devils will kill ya buy excellent video

  • SICK SICK SICK SICK! Fuckin amazing, fellas. Nice work! I see hours and hours and hourssssss of practice behind that.

  • man those guys r freakn raw bt is dat a skool or jus put together a band

  • That was hot

  • sparkling wiggles.

  • COONS

  • scorch; does George Mason University count? We took fifth in Open class championships last year for WGI, is that "good enough" for you? Because I know I dont like listening to fucking dirt and having it praised, so, hell yeah, i'll continue to say DCI and WGI is better. Go suck a fat one.

  • @thedevilssaints

stop comparing a high school to WGI and DCI... and besides, you obvious weren't perfect... you took 5th in open class... the was super old anyways...

  • @thedevilssaints

stop comparing a high school to WGI and DCI... and besides, you obviously weren't perfect... you took 5th in open class... this was super old anyways...

  • i like it. its a lil dirty but i like it.

  • 1:10 those splits were so clean!!

  • these guys are kickass, no matter the age. bravo!

  • @Jonwyattearp exactly man thy'r tearin it up lik it nothing!!!!

  • thAt was HOOOOTTTTT

  • Some people are just jealous here.... That group is incredible!

  • I'm sick of all the clowns who come on youtube and try to bash on others behind their keyboards. These kids should be ADMIRED for playing, having fun, and being good sports at the same time. If you say DCI or WGI is better, I'd like to see you make a line like that. Better yet, I'd like to see half of assholes do anything besides drum on a pad in your living room.

  • @scorch0012 if pple dnt want to be called terreble why even put it on youtube in the first place and as a percussionist it pisses me off when pple think they are good but they are not. and most pple who drum on their pad are probably better than yo ass

  • @scorch0012 I'm pretty sure if you type "DCI" or "WGI" in the search bar... you're probably gonna find more than people playing on drum pads. DCI and WGI drummers are constantly judged on there playing skills at every show, not to mention on every youtube video, and even when they are slightly dirty, they get hundreds of negative comments. This entire video is pure dirt, someone should make a comment.

  • why are y'all niggas?

  • whoa there awsome

  • loved it yall did awesome for real

  • Is this seriously a high school line?

  • 1:11!!!!

  • now that was great stuff

  • amazing.....

  • skrite quise on the end!

  • Where Brooklyn at?!

    These guys are sick.

  • you got a point they are like reallly awesome no matter what color

  • u got to admit they did beasted on them.lol

  • Sweet!!! I would be happy if my drum line had even a fraction of this talent. This is absolutely amazing. How many hours a week do you guys practice?

  • wo0ow jejeje

  • I like This Battle! YEaaahhhh!

  • why is the section leader on the end? I'm not sure I understand the concept. I'm a little ignorant to the show style drumline ways

  • the first row of snares is what our drums used to sound like then the changed the heads ang now they sound like the second row.......... its BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • coool !!!

  • badass beats and stick tricks it's just sloppy...not hatin' just sayin' keep it going! If DCI and Show bands came together it would be heaven...

  • @a07joshuajj it would definitely be more entertaining to have them all together.

  • the ending is the best part of the video, thats what its all about, your never too good to show respect, I liked that alot!

  • what i love about black fire is that there not ur typical show band drumline that just cares about fansy visuals, their cleaner than the rest they know its about quality not quantity, so as a drumcorps style drummer i give ya high five.

  • I've been watching a lot of these "showband" drumlines, I have to say thanks for taking the time to tune the drums. The Bass split run is really good. I've seen other showband drumlines and they sound so bad just cause all you hear is the overtones from untuned and undampened heads. Every drumline in the world needs cleaning, but this is one of the tightest showband lines I've heard (there are still some mistakes by one or two individuals at times). As I tell my line, timing, timimg, timing

  • Great job-ignore the trash talkers.

  • is it called black fire cuz its a bunch of black guys in red costumes?

  • WILL PEOPLE STOP FUKKING COMPARING DCI TO GROOVE THERE ARE 2 FUKKIN DIFFRENT FORMS YOU ASSWIPES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this thing could use a shower

  • Dirty.

  • AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • it was alright. try to work really hard to play in unison. makes it sound a lot better

  • yo i need to figure out how you did that move in the begining

  • That tonal run is sooooo nasty!

  • see now if this was in the movie drumline the movie wouldve been better all this stuff is more technical and cooler

  • yea you probly just shit on the other band

  • badass, love the finish too

  • damn you guys do it perfecly

  • sweet bass split near the end

  • der hit dat shit at da end

  • They sound pretty good, just need to clean it up. Work on their attack.

  • Pretty damn good for a highschool

  • Black fire chopped dat ass up!!!

  • 1:20 ... "They did a rowlll, all the way down.." Lmao

  • whats the name of the level bar yall use

  • premier brand

  • 1:20

"They did a roooll all the way down." lol.

  • Yes, they were very dirty. I think they should concentrate on visuals after they make their cadences clean.

  • i like the fact that southern drumlines Use visuals and thats what they're known for But they should also learns from corps drumlines like DCI because if we could incoporate these Visuals AND include marching corps drumlines playing and music most drumlines would be great to see for enterrainment and great to march corps

  • that was the dirtiest drumline ive ever seen

  • 0:56 !!!! wohooooo rocks ^^

  • Man, they're clean.

  • @ClearBlackWater Sarcasm doesnt cary well on the internet

  • And you can't hear very well....

  • I love drumlines no matter what race they are, the music is whats happening. I have seen some white drumlines that was cool as hell. Black, white, whatever. Stop being stupid and let the racism end.

  • @icecubes214 Dirt doesnt have a color, im black and these guys are dirty as hell >.>

  • @icecubes214 what do u mean by white drumlines.......

  • I am not sure if this is the same drumline that I just watched that had more movement mixed into it...but either way...I absolutely love drumlines.

  • Fuck the color racist crap. If the music fits hear it. Racist ass holes can kiss my white ass. This is a bad ass group of musicians.

  • Yotomak, I'm not going to attack because you may not understand that the reason for the historically black colleges are due to the Jim crow era. Blacks were not allowed to go to white schools at all after slavery, nor were they expected to do so. Jim Crow just ended in the 60's. Most of those schools have been around since the 1800's. Yes, whites are interested in what blacks have to offer now but once upon a time, we weren't invited to "your" pep rallies and so forth, thus black drumlines.

  • My God! Will you people get off the subject that balck's had a rough time in this country?! Yeah, so what? It was bad, SO WHAT? So many people dwell on the fact that something bad happened to the black race in the past. Christians were slaughtered and totured in Rome, but do we care? No. We travel and tour Rome just the same. So get off of it! Black people have just the same rights, if not more in some cases, than white people do. This drumline has an amazing sound, it's just the simple fact.

  • Keep the trash talking to a minimum or get out.. This was a high school drumline. No one on this line was over 17 years old.. Remember that next time you judge. Some of you are 18+ and still have yet to make an accomplishment. Like I said before.. Black fire percussion breeds DCI champions.

  • yep

  • @Jaydzil wow black fire DOES not BREED DCI players..thats the dumbest shit i heard all day.

  • @CrazySnareJerrick93 man yhu must be smokin sumthing to say that black fire dnt breed DCI players....man dey former instructor Tim Greene who is now the current instructor of the South Carolina State University Bongo Brothers aint nothing but DCI so yhu cant say dat dey wasnt on their shit, n oh yea dis video is old u moron

  • @Congobruh4 I couldn't read half of what you wrote. Pay attention in english class.

  • @Jaydzil heh. Cool that you are pumped but I am not sure about that. Unless they are studying with someone else and using very different technique and VERY different tuning....

  • @Jaydzil They're all right, but they'd be a joke in the DCI competitions. They don't play precisely together. It's all stick tricks. No disrespect though. I'm still impressed.

  • @jesseroggaa dude their only goal is to entertain not to be perfect

  • @TheDragonmaster18 No yeah, I totally agree with you. But when people say "Blackfire is going DCI for sure!" it's ridiculous.

  • @Jaydzil Im just kind of curious what you meant by black fire breeds dci champions?

  • This video is years old.. we have players who've moved on to win dci championships.. Calm your keyboard buddy.

  • Comment removed

  • @Jaydzil

Wether or not you've had guys to go play on championship drumlines (I assume drumilnes, you didnt' specify, it could've been rack in the pit for all I know) , it doesn't this drumline any more clean or any better. I"ve never walked up to a dirty lot and said "Oh well i'll keep watching because they've had guys go march places". it's probably because the kids realized how bad they suck so they went and practiced until they were good.

  • @ southmoore you dont want to mop the floor with something unclean. it gets the floor dirty. use orange glow

  • *yawn*

  • @a7xfan1230 you're gay you know that right

  • @a7xfan1230 Someones a jealous little troll.

  • @a7xfan1230 You're a fag, I bet you can't even play what they are playing. Homo

  • @a7xfan1230 im srry dude but your complete idiot, cause every drummer knows rudiments everything a drummer does is rudimental. I grew up with show style and i know all my rudiments and going into hybrids

  • @a7xfan1230 rudiments and marking time isnt everything. evry drumline doesnt have to be perfect and there goal is to entertain research this style of drumline before critisizing

  • @a7xfan1230 if you actually watched the video, they do know rudiments.

Multiple types of rolls going from 3,5,7,9,13. Double Strokes, Triple Stroke rolls(triplets somewhere in the middle of the video)

They also performed a series of flams, diddles, and even swiss army triplets. Yes I did watch the video that extensively, because I find them to be quite great, especially for a high school drumline.

    Have a nice day! :)

  • @Veltholath Your comment deserve a thumbs up just for you naming all the basic (And some advanced) rudiments.

  • @a7xfan1230 YOUR NOT A REAL A7X FAN IF YOU WAS THEN YOU WOULD BE SAYING NONE OF THAT

  • That was meh at best

  • sure this wasnt great.. but thats the first southern style line ive seen that focouses on having good techine and a good aproach to the drum... unlike that wack ass a & t gayness

  • THAT WAS AMAZING.

  • SICK ending!!!

  • :D

    Niiiceee guuuys!

    Big greet from Serbia!!!

  • Great Performance!!!

  • oh shut up with the i think its bad to have all black drum lines. thats a bunch of bull. Just fugging let them have a line. It was awesome, now if it had sucked i would understand but come on!!!

  • FRESH!

  • wow...sounds like a bunch of popcorn to me...horrible

  • @tbwannab

It was very unclean at parts, but still a cool cadence

  • D D D DAMMM FUKIN GOOD

  • those guys r good!!!

  • omg wuts up wit the hate comments? friggen dumbasses let them hav a drumline

  • ok so good sound... BUT...... i don't really think an all black line named black fire is in everyone's best interest.... i mean if it's an all black line by quincedence that's fine but.... not ok if that's intentional... and black fire as a name was an awful choice

  • I 100% agree. it's like racist drumline. no whites allowed drumline...etc

    and they are bad anyway

  • wow. really messy

  • yotomak WTF are you on about??? It would be racist because you make it an issue you tit.

  • but what about calling a drumline "white fire"

surely everyone would find that bad

although i have nothing against the name black fire

  • @Buschi9393

sure you could call a line that but it doesn't have much of a ring to it. That's why nobody does.

  • and it sounds very racist

  • the reason we dont do that is because white ice would be cooler. no pun intended

  • im white, but i wanna play in this band really bad.

  • So, I'm pretty sure they don't discriminate, the only factors they should be concerned with are ability and talent.

Also to one of the previous commenters I don't think the name Black Fire implies anything racial. It's merely an odd and unique phrase to use and it sounds intimidating.

  • only incredible!!!!!
