i think trance djs should start doing this, a real "live" performance of their productions. It is simply more enticing and entertaining than playing on digital turntables and the musicianship remains intact.

Ya Hanni that was very very good.I've been wanting to see someone playing live Trance for a long time and could never find it any where,until now.Man,u're a real pro.If I could play like that I'd lock myself in a room and never come out.I see u're using older synths,but is there just one machine that can do all these sounds and functions?I have an SH-201 but I know it's just a beginner's synth and would like to get something better in the future.

Just got my QY100. Trying 2 get accompaniments to follow my keyboard playing w/left hand to make my keyboard perform like a Tyros arranger-type keyboard. I have the QY earphone out cable going into my keyboard audio-in jack and playing through the keyboards amplified monitors . I have my keyboard midi out cable to the QY midi in. QY setting Midi Sync=External, QYMidi Control=In. No Good. Settings correct? Am I supposed to add a 2nd midi cable going from QY out to keyboard midi in? Thx

I have logs of analogue gear.. I don't know how to sync with midi.. some are cv and some are fq.. any ideas? I'd love to make trance with all the equipment I have.. but no sync!

Way to go Dude! You are the man. You know, I really wasn't into this Trance thing because I had the notion of it being computer generated in some cold studio and live i'd seen some cats with a bunch of computer stuff doing playback, but watching you doing it live gives a whole new meaning to it. I perform live also but in a more traditional sense. Oldies, standards, instrumentals with keyboards, and your stuff is exciting. Keep up the great work.

One can compare ANYONE to ANYONE. Tiesto USED to play like this. "Just Be" or any of his more trance-ish songs can be compared...Tiesto's NEW songs however....ehh different styles. This particular song however is ranked up there highly..In any case, it's amazing.

Well actually the synths Jay is using are not too expensive ^^ They're all a bit dated (which is a good thing in the synth world) so you can get a Korg X5D or the AN1x for about 200-300€. The rest aren't that expensive either :)

It's all about how you use your equipment, not about how much money you use on them :D

Well, you propably could see in this video that many things are pre-sequenced. Even the pad in the break - me is just doing some Effects. Well, besides being able to play 2 completely independend sequences with your both hands the biggest problem is "real time automation", meaning playing with cutoff frequency or switching sounds in a short time.
