There are places in England that have far worse places than this, go to parts of London, Manchester, Birmingham, Nottingham, any major English City and you can see places that make the New Lodge, Shankill, Ardoyne, Falls, Etc look pratically middle class, and i do know these areas personally. I am an Englishman with a certain sympathy for the Nationalist people or Ulster but parts of the rest of the British isles are no utopia either, Umpteen places in Scotland and Wales also

Many thanks for posting this. A great view of the Reci. I was brought up in the Upper Lodge in the 60s and 70s but knew stacks of people from the Flats and my sisters went to the Nursery.
