I have a part Mammoth Jack donkey. She is beautiful and has a sweet personality. Until we try and trim her feet! She hates it and has learned to hate my dad for it. She won't cooperate with him at all. Do you have any suggestions? Why do you think she fights so much when it's time for the farrier to trim her feet?
Thanks so much!! I just trained her with verbal commands and treats, then I used physical commands, such as holding up my hand. Also when you want them to stop all you have to do is stop and turn your toes towards them, they will stop. Try it. Jack
Nice show. They are neat animals.
Smart, gentle and stubborn at times. Sometimes too smart. Still, they put up with us humans.
