How many rooms would be trashed the next day and have missing TVs? Hotel rates would certainly rise and hotels would shut down. Our freedom to choose to stay at a hotel is dependent upon IDs. More respect and power should be given to our ID system so additional freedoms could be enjoyed in our lives.

If voting mattered, Ron Paul would not have been shut out of the majority of debates during the primaries. When you always get two candidates with the same policies, funded by the same people, part of the same secret societies.....what choice do you really think you have.
With that said, to think that votes do not count at all is a little overstating the case. I almost got one for drinking when I turned 19 because I didn't have a drivers liscence, but they introduced photo ID health cards in Ontario so I used that instead. And no, I don't fear for one second that I'm being tracked or anything of the sort. It's harmless.

I love how he made a reference to the idea of "papers" from Germany. The national I.D. Cards would be a centralized form ID. People take this aspect a little to far. All the ID card would do would be able to maintain our own personal identity and protect what little privacy we have left. I'm all for the National I.D. Any information they can get on the card system they can already get via other means. I might be optimistic but the card would honestly simplify a lot of process of hiring.

I almost got one for drinking when I turned 19 because I didn't have a drivers liscence, but they introduced photo ID health cards in Ontario so I used that instead. This ID would not address illegal immigration at all! Employers who verify citizenship already do so with the I-9 form (already a pain in the butt). This again would only affect, citizens. Those who break the law will continue to do so. Really, if this government was so concerned about immigration, we'd put pressure on Mexico. But what the corps and gov really wants is cheap labor. I love how he made a reference to the idea of "papers" from Germany. The national I.D. Cards would be a centralized form ID. People take this aspect a little to far. All the ID card would do would be able to maintain our own personal identity and protect what little privacy we have left. I'm all for the National I.D. Any information they can get on the card system they can already get via other means. I might be optimistic but the card would honestly simplify a lot of process of hiring.

@tsubasashi Yeah but they passed the bill that allows them to make the National ID a RFID chip placed under your skin, they passed it way back in 2004 and Verichip won the patent.and they appealed it this year and they lost the appeal. Now comes the mark.

@tsubasashi i disagree with you 1000% percent. this new system(even though it may seem more effecient)can be upgraded. it can do a whole lot more than what is being advertised. they are using imigration as the reason to pass this nonsense. i personally believe it is going to be like russia during the cold war days....i was in walmart and i was buying some wine and the cashier asked for "my papers" i laughed at her and left all my shit on the conveyer belt. During WW2 the American government used census data to track down Japanese Americans and put them in concentration camps. The government of today deserves no more trust than the government that did that. it's simply gives more power to a government that has proven time and time again that it will abuse every power it has.
