wth it only takes half a tank 2 kill 2 wit hyper missiles

plus its easier with morph ball bombs to knock them into the mining drill(and no it doesn't open into space)

Nope. Once you upgrade it past the beam you had, you are no longer are capable of firing that beam. But there are no elemental enemy weaknesses in the game, as far as I can remember, so the beams only upgrade your attack power/unlock puzzles.

a easier way to make the pirate slip is 2 go in morph ball and lay a bomb on him only have to do it once lol......

Missiles are okay, but the plasma beam is just as effective. In fact, given the difference in firing rates, it might be even more effective than the missiles.

I think the Nova Beam looked great as it does now. The Hyper however should be shaped like the Annilator/Plasma as it is the most powerful beam in the game.

it's mostly specified that it's a "high frequency beam", that's all we are told, I think

It mines into the ground of pirate homeworld and is removing the corrupted rock from the ground to improve space pirate guns. Look through the blue glass on the floor and you'll see. Its kind of scary though......... seing the rocks fly around.
