That's silly. Now, if it were some more well-known Marvel characters ilke Spiderman or Wolverine, they may have a chance in the box office. Unfortunately, since they have yet to have a movie or TV show, few of teh general population are even aware of Thor and Cap's existance! However, every single Batman and Superman film has been box-office smashes (though many of them were undeserving of such)

I think that as far as a BATMAN movie goes, BATMAN BEGINS was the best. BATMAN THE DARK KNIGHT was a better suspense/drama movie, but not a better BATMAN movie.

If you want the true roots of both characters, check out the 1930's pulp hero..Doc Savage...who was called "The Man of Bronze" (man of steel anyone?) Doc had a Fortress of Solitude at the pole before Superman was invented. He was considered to have "superhuman" strength due to extreme physical conditioning. He was a "mental marvel" due to his great detective reasoning (batman anyone?) He had a vest with pockets for devices he used to escape villains who had weird names and looks.

Ah, but I don't define a Superhero by powers. A Superhero is a hero with extraordinary abilities who dresses up in a costume and takes on Supervillains. So by this definition (The one the Dc uses btw) The Batman is a superhero.
