Georgia might not be keeping them by force to live there, but they are forcing them to choose what side, their lifestyle. That goes against what the US stands for, what democracy is, what the whole cold war was over.

The Ossetians, a very small minority of the Georgian population, have done nothing but cause trouble, including acts of violence as far as I've read.
These people aren't just some random innocent citizens, they are trying their best to steal Georgian territory right out from under them.

I agree that there isn't any excuse if reports of Georgia killing innocent people in South Ossetia are true.
But the fact is that there are not any reports of unlawful action on the part of the Georgians outside of the Russian media.
The bottom line is that we cannot simply take the Russian media's word for it.
And even the Russian reports, from what I've read, say that 1500 people or so have been killed. Far less than the "thousands" that you Russia propagandists are saying.

Georgia might not be keeping them by force to live there, but they are forcing them to choose what side, their lifestyle. That goes against what the US stands for, what democracy is, what the whole cold war was over.
As a democracy, they should have taken a look at the problem, and dealt with it diplomatically and with what the people as a whole choose, rather than by bombing the region. They should have known bombing civilians would result in aggressive behavior from Russia.

The Georgians hate Ossetia thats why they fought them in the early 90s. This all could've been avoided if they simply recognized their independence. I'm not sure how you came up with the number of 72000, as far as I know, that's just about all of the people living in the area.
Though I certainly don't know how large of a majority the Ossetians have in South Ossetia; I do know that Georgians also live in South Ossetia, as a minority.
Is it somehow more acceptable to have the Georgians in South Ossetia move out of their homes, move out of their own country, because a majority of people living in the area are Russian and want to join Russia?

The bottom line is that Russia WILL withdraw its troops and an international agreement will decide what happens with Ossetia.
Other than that, I don't doubt that Georgia will enter into NATO and US and EU protections from Russia will be put in place.
Until Russia can stop allowing corrupt, invalid governments to take power in their country, this is what the country and its people will have to face.

Russian citizens live there because this was historically formed. they are ossetians but have russian citizenship. they didn't cause any problems. since 1992 south ossetia was de facto independent. it had its own capital, president and institutions. what georgia is doing now is trying to subordinate this region by means of killing already 2000 innocent people, most of whom are russian citizens. what is russia supposed to do? just observe it's citizens being murdered?

I don't have any issue with the Ossetians. If the Ossetians want to be Ossetians, rather than Georgians, or Russians for that matter. Then I think that's just great, good for them and I wish them luck.
Though I'm not quite sure how long Ossetia has been a part of Georgia myself, if it has been a part of Georgia going back to the days of the Georgian kingdom, then that's another issue.

What I do have an issue with is Russia causing trouble in Georgia.
Giving Russian citizenship to Georgian citizens is not right on its own, but using that as an excuse to invade a sovereign nation is appalling.
Influencing the local leadership of South Ossetia and trying to persuade them into joining the Russian Federation is also wrong.

We have to look at why people were killed by Georgians. It's not something that I know myself, I would have to see more reports about it.
From what I've read, a majority of the people living in South Ossetia have continually tried to rebel from Georgia, and Georgia has simply tried to prevent it from happening.
If some Ossetians were killed during an act of rebellion, that I don't see a problem with that.
If Georgia was killing Ossetians simply because they were Ossetians, that's a problem.

this is the matter. there was NO rebellion. georgians just prepared an attack on ossetian's capital long time ago. the problem is that your channels show only little part of information and only from one side. when russian journalists went to ossetia they took some interviews from local settlers who saw everything with their own eyes. that was really shoking... georgian soldiers were just entering the houses and killing everyone point-blank, including women and children.

I watch bbc and cnn. and there are some reports like "georgian soldiers being treated". why don't they show something like "ossetian civillians being put into graves"?

there are about 32000 separatists in Ossetia which is part of Georgia. They do not seek to have a country of their own but to be part of Russia. 32,000 is not even a town here in America. If they want to be part of Russia they have the option of moving away. Whether the statistics that you are stating are true or not is something that I am unaware of.
With that said: There's no doubt that Georgia is likely to have done something wrong, killed some innocent Ossetians, destroyed the homes of innocent civilians, etc.
Georgia is accountable for its actions and will be held to a certain standard.
The issue here though, is that Russia invaded a sovereign nation. Stop trying to villanize Georgia to defend the wrongdoings of Russia.

Russian peacekeepers have found documents from Georgian peacekeepers, stating that Georgia have been preparing for this attack for over a year.
If Georgia joins NATO, the US will put it's Missile System pointing at Russia.
Russia knows that US is trying to trap it in a circle of death by basing Military Bases and Missile Systems around it's country.
The Russia can't back down from this conflict or it's doomed.
