a bit of a jump from his last role of course but then again anything would be. I support him just like I did Harry. I'll stick with him to the end but I REALLY cannot see him as a father. He's my age and I guess its just hard since I know so much about him. It will be hard for me to percieve him as a dad in this film but *shrugs* also I know its his godson who plays his son in the film which doesn't help xD Still, if he's as good outside HP as I want to believe I know he'll make me believe :)

The 1989 English tv movie of this story was excellent, and had little or no special effects .

Most people think he's a bad actor-and don't get angry, I'm a huge HP fan-because playing Harry Potter didn't give him enough room to change and grow as an actor. But having seen him in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying on Broadway, I can safely say that he was amazing in that. Even people who were skeptical going in came out glowing with compliments for good old DanRad.

That might be your opinion, alright, full stop, but of course there CAN be a debate. In MY opinion he has improved quite a lot. Especially in the last Potterfilm I thought he pulled it off! And, I liked him in December Boys and My Boy Jack as well. And hey, in Equus he ruled the bloody theatre with a hell of a good performance. I even forgot it was him!

@BehindBlueEyes15 Oh he has improved, but in terms of quality of acting, he is not very good at all. Very wooden. I didn't see the theatre production he was in so I cannot comment on that :) When he is along side John Hurt, Maggie Smith, etc in Harry Potter, he is shown up so badly. It is obvious he is just relaying the script. And don't worry, no offence has been taken! :)

@TheScriptTV Actually they cut out his dialog because it adds suspense. There is no need for words in this trailer from him. And to be honest he isn't the best actor, but he learned it all on the Harry Potter set, which is quite amazing. He grew up in that world, and learned as he went along. Truly he is a great actor because of what he has accomplished.

@littledanea i actually liked The Village, but i get what you mean: it will probably get a far bigger audience by staring Daniel Radcliffe. Though i don't know if that's a bad thing: a lot of good stories don't get the attention they deserve, just because they're not high-budget hollywood productions. If it's a bad movie and they only invested in Daniel R., then you're right, but i would think he'd only accept to playing in a good film, to prove his capacities outside of the wizarding world :)
