Yes, as a previous comment stated, it goes down to the torque curve. The Evo may have 700HP, but that seems to come in more at the higher RPM's. The GT-R's torque curve kicks in earlier.
Plus, the dual-clutch tranny helps it keep on the power much more efficiently! GT-R FTW!
and the guy in evo clearly cant drive his car to his mods... and he also talks shit because if its stroked to 2.3 then he would have masses of torque low down. and not have to rev his car hard at all
@richardrollings turbo response is new.. I was into cars when it was all heavily modified hondas/mitsubishis being the only thing ppl who don't have 6+ figures in the back can afford in supercar performance territory
@AntDX316 response is the time it take for the turbo to respond back when after the gearchange, Lag is the wait for the right RPM,
this guy driving the evo isnt in the right RPM range for that turbo, im suspecting its a .82 back housing and really he needs to be in the 4-8 k rpm band which it doenst sound like in my opinion,
i also think he's lying about it been stroked to 2.3 because if this was so when they set off he would of been sideways from the torque.
@richardrollings yeah that's what I was saying, the turbo wasn't full spool when he hit the throttle all the way down, he didn't shift at all he was in the same gear but low
@richardrollings probably thought his extra 50hp and cams for top end would smoke the GTR so he was giving him a slight advantage in the beginning but he didn't know the DCT of the GTR would keep pulling when he, the evo, has to clutch in/out to shift
Don't forget it's torque that wins races not dyno figures and I'd bet that GT-R has a whole lot more torque than the evo even if them power figures were correct.
EVOS SUCK IN FRONT OF THE, GTR, YOU CANT COMPARE THEM

Just goes to show that you can't mess with a GTR, even if you have less weight and more hp

@AntDX316 its actually called turbo response ;)

the gearbox is the reason i think why the gtr is faster.

evo has more hp and is a lighter car. this is also from a roll so the traction control wouldnt help. Something is not right.
