  • hey dude, do you still own this?

  • hey mate i looked at buying this around 2000 in canberra, nice car . are you interested in selling it ?

  • uh oh....i realy shoud not have watched this...

i have an e30.. and i also have a huge love for rotarys...

    crap...

  • hahaha its german-ese! lmao awesome car bro!

  • steer wheel on the wrong side...

  • @GE24Tony hurah for australia!!!

  • @gibbo1112

You don't understand, the steering wheel is on the wrong side,it should be on the left side!

  • @GE24Tony coz its in australia... I.E. hurah for australia!!

  • @gibbo1112

ok,you like australia, but that isn't a reason for the st. wheel to be on the right side!

  • @GE24Tony - YOU don't understand (or have I just been Poed?) - ALL our steering wheels are on the right in Australia. Did you not know that? (or have I just been Poed?)

It would be wrong if it was on the left in Oz.

  • Hey Dude, nice one! You mixed german engineering in german engineering, thats a mix with high performance !

So, u ride that thing with only 10psi? I think u can pull in 1bar man! that are high compressure rotors when I remember right. :)

  • still german enginering in a way lol

  • INSANE conversion bro! luv it

  • i still love this car from like 3 years that ive seen it lol

  • nice car, the black top is right on...

  • @ 84FbRx7: i plan on putting a turbo 2 13b in my e21 as well, mine is a 77 320i. have you done alot of research on what all needs to be done?

  • Wow thats sick. im looking into rotary swapin my e21 after i get a 13b rew for my rx7

  • Japanese engine in a German touring car? Recipe for killage.

  • wrong the rotary was perfected by the japs but was created by a gernan

  • @420witchdoctor technically its a german design put in a japanese car owned by an american company...haha paradox

  • @sangrecruz Well, actually BMW was not owned by any American company at the time this body shell was made, and neither was Mazda.

  • @420witchdoctor i was speaking of mazda but i didnt think of the timeframe

  • @sangrecruz Oh yeah I get it.

  • I have e30 m3 and looking at doing 20b conversion.

Was there any problem with the factory mounted brake booster for fit and clearance?

Did you use the factory sump does it require any modifications to clear steering rack?

Does the gearbox shifter come through the standard cutout on the tunnel?

How does the exhaust go for clearance on the steering input shaft?

What is the total engine weight or car weight?

Is you conversion posted on a forum somewhere?

    Cheers

    David

    Brisbane

  • @logie74

Don't do it, or atleast not to that M3. Keep that car original with S14 powerplant. Good condinition E30 M3's are getting even more rarer and expensive.

    20b in a 325i m-tech2 would be nice. :)

  • thats just a straigh 6..not a rora

  • definatly 20b... eunos cosmo engine, and the sound.... just not the same as a straight six

  • you sir are a wanker i have worked on this car at reliance automotive it is a triple rotor (20b) with a to4

  • It says 3 rotor on the intake manifold. If that doesn't convince you, look up a 20B rotary and compare.

  • Sick ride dude. I was going to get a Cosmo 20B instead I got a Cosmo 13B. I still love it. The 20B was Just a bit to expensive and lots of mod to fit a Datto.

  • Was it difficult to fit the rotary engine in the e30?

    Did it fit right off?

Are you using the original e30 gearbox?

  • soooooo badass

  • 3 rotors

  • Wow, nice baur and nice setup

  • these 20B's WoW

  • wow, beautiful ride....

  • Thats not a bad swap. What kind of HP are ya making?? Has to be more than the 130ish it did have. :)

  • beautiful is one word that describes what we just saw

  • lets race bro

  • good idea! but... its a right handed BMW? I thought they only selled in the lef handed version :P

  • well, if this is from Britian, it has to be right handed

  • This is a Canberra Car (Australian) and we use right hand drive vehicles here aswell. Power figurees of an extend ported 20B with a t04 turbo are in excess of 400rear wheel horsepower on pump fuel :p

  • .........oh

  • Latest Dyno 629rwhp @10psi....!!

  • HOLY SHIT

  • @hurcorh no no....HOLY rotors

  • true. but i was referring to the comment from BMW20B that says latest dyno 629rwhp @ 10psi

  • @BMW20B What modifications did you perform to jump the power from 325hp to 629hp at the same boost level? I assume larger ports and alcohol injection?

  • @BMW20B WTF!! TUFF!!.. skating vids asap lol

  • or australia for that matter, either way it's a beautiful machine. bit of a sleeper, seeing as most people wouldn't expect an e30 to be packing a 20b haha.. nice car.

  • lol! dont think most people would think to marry a 20B to a BMW

  • puerto ricans marry them to old toyotas and here to bmw are popular but if you want to go fast put a rotary in it!!!!

  • oh yea, ive heard of AE86's getting 13B's but still, im so out of teh loop :/

  • bavarian style with a rotary powerhouse

    ORGASMIC combination

  • sounds mean, must be fuckin ballistic, E30 handling with 20B power. what a combo

  • I remember this for sale a while back.. did you buy it or did it never sell?

  • I bought it back in 2006, the original owner had lost interest and let it go a bit...

  • tough!

  • i love seeing rotaries in places they dont belong! good work sweet ride.

  • @ncnorman me to Id love to see a rotary in a American car like the stang or a camaro LOL

  • who gives a fuck????? no1 cos everyone is right in their own little mind....i dont care what any1 says, that beemer is a fukn animal!!!! gimme gimme

  • More like wine in a piss glass...

  • you clearly don't know shit about classic mototrs

  • "JETHRO CLAMPET" BULLSHIT!!!

  • thank you felix for producing such a SICK engine nothin beats a rota!

  • nice now that nazi mobile might actually be quick!

  • did you blow the stock engine?.....verry cool and creative!

  • you think i can put this in a E36? looks like its factory to me nice work!

    go Rotary/BMW

  • it is possible

  • ive got an e36 convertible. Bit heavy to chuck a rotor in I think.

  • i love this car!

  • Odd... but cool :)

  • bro, rotaries will eventually take over, they are much more compact and can put out so much RPM and power, a three turbo 20b SLRR is the engine of the future

  • We've heard the same line for 40 years. Hasn't happened and isn't gonna.

  • i love them too mate but they chew tooo much gas. They do go good as hydrogen engines though. Because intake, compression/ignition and exhaust are all independant of each other.

  • and u gotta change the oil every 2 weeks

  • u drive 3k miles in 2 weeks?

  • 3k mile is an oil change for a regular engine, this is a rotary engine...a 20b at that. u should change the oil every 500 to 750 miles

  • out of the factory the 13b was rated at one quart for every 3k miles...since they take 5.2 qts wet that leaves another 4 odd quarts left in the system..which is acceptable...a cosmo was rated at 1 qt for i believe it was every 2500 miles...just because you slap on another rotor doesnt mean the rating drops down by 2/3. your supposed to change it just like any other car..having triangles doesnt mean you have to do something as dumb as change it once a week

  • i got to give u props...your google/wikipedia skills are on point. you deserve a medal=)

  • no my knowlege and first hand experience are on point...the moajority of my friends including myself have rx7s and 8s...and one or two have 20b's...besides that i know for a fact that lti teaches you shit about rotors....check my videos, does the shop and uniforms look kinda similar? just because wikipedia says we inject oil doesnt mean the oil change cycle is any different...and on top of that..most people wit 20b's remove the OMP and just premix because its more reliable

  • wow that is really cool nice work

  • i agree man why a BMW? i got a perfectly app rx-7 to put it in :)

  • omg!

  • ...keep it in the family lol

  • sweet i love it

  • that is sex at its best

  • good way to put that brace on that engine

  • Hey! Thats a Baur Cab!

  • Big props man.. im a big rotary enthusiast too.. beautiful 20b setup there. it looks flush.. upload more vids plz!!! i used to own a 88 Turbo2

  • You do realise a LS1 is all alloy and definatly weighs less than the M20 block let alone the bigger ones.

    Hope this helps.

  • I think the LS1 and SR20 ones are much more suitable for the E30's dynamics. Even a few 2JZ jobbies getting around now which will eclipse all.

  • Yeah its originally a big heavy 6cyl so lets make that worse by using a V8 or downgrade to a 4cyl??? Everyone knows that Rotaries eclipse everything, especially a tripple!!

  • Yeah bro keep it up, thats a dope ride! who cares what jasonbuttpirate says about ancient v8 technoligy that has been surpased buy honda civics lol

  • haha honda civics! fucking knob!!!

  • Na its Frog!

  • @BMW20B I LIKE FROGS! :D

  • @lululaserpiente ur a fucking dumbcunt go lick ur mother out..

  • Got to luv the Wankel..

  • greatest engine that bmw ever had my hat is off to you

  • Its A Mazda Engine....

  • he means it's the best engine that particular bmw has ever had in it lol

  • BOOST in -> Apex seals out

  • errr ok

  • lol

  • LOL...

  • wats so good about having a rotary??? I love rx7s but rotarys are holding me back.. 15-18l of pertol per 100km, servicing every 3k miles, rebuilding the engine every 50-60k miles to make sure the pressure doesn't drop otherwise the performance of the car will be very crappy... wats the positive side of rotaries??

  • You need to realize in the states the gas mileage is about average lol. And rotary's can be more durable then a piston engine if they are properly maintained and beat on appropriately. Servicing every 3000 you should do that on every car. The way a rotary can rev so freely and make so much power w/ only 1.3 to 2.0l of displacement is amazing. I mean I dont see your civic making 600hp at 54lbs of boost.

  • haha wateva mate "somebody" just told u! who cares bout fuel anyway the sound of 1 at full revs makes up for it. and yea fuk honda think of all those moving parts compared to the simplicity of a rotary mazda reprasent!

  • wrll thats actually flawed one the rebiulding needed a goot turbo RX-7 should be good until around 200,000miles on it. there is a N/A 13N with 400,000mile on it and just got a rebiuld for a blow colant seal. my 90 RX-7 GTU has 188,000mile on it

  • i love rotaries and i love BMW's best of both worlds.

  • nice car mate. ive got an e30 too, dunno bout the cab tho... lol, just my opinion. very nice otherwise

  • in a bimmer!! nice.

  • sounds like a highly muffled rotary, you need a new exhaust for that thing it sounds like it's being all bottled up inside the muffler. let it breathe! but otherwise very cool installation.

  • Most certainly is a rotary. Comes out of the Cosmo that never made it to the U.S. Its a three rotor engine.

  • The sweetest sound in the world, 20B!!

  • That vaguely sounds like an inline six, eh!

  • yeah i had that issue lol...n i had this on my wall in my room.

  • thats awesome :) a nice mixture of car and engine :)

  • I remember seeing that in an old FF&R magazine few years ago
