  • I recognize those scissors! He promoted them to an offscreen fan while W was glowering at him. "There goes..." "A dead man." Ha ha!

  • The anal fin?

  • I remember Bum suppers. It was a mix of vegetables and meat, put into a tin foil pouch, and set by a campfire. Very good eats.

  • I just made this, but with just water instead of white wine, and it was not only delicious fish, but the couscous and tomatoes served as a wonderful side dish.

  • Alton brown is the bomb.

  • Banana leaf is really good for wrapping fish in

  • This took me about 10 minutes to prepare and I just got my ingredients in a few minutes at a local grocery store. A lot of this is typical pantry stuff, except for the fish. I already eat the rest of the stuff nearly every day. This is delicious, easy, and fast. =)

  • I LOVE THOSE SISSORS/KNIFE!!!!

  • Aww... it's a valentine... which we're about to stuff full of fish!

  • Thanks for uploading! This is my favorite episode!!

  • Go buy a Big Mac and stop griping then.

  • OH! Well, yeah I can't say that I disagree with that. You know, I've seen episodes where he, himself, has cut corners on some ingredients.

As far as time-friendly eats, check out his episode on spuds or casseroles... alot of times you can put together dishes from left-over items that would otherwise go to waste.

Honestly, if I can put a meal together from dish-initiation to dinner-table, I'm pretty happy.

    Cheers!

  • The prep would take about 5-10 minutes. If you can't wait 40 minutes to eat, you must have some issues.

  • I KNOW RIGHT

  • The time it took you to watch this video and type your negative response... you could have made SOMETHING better than the fast food alternative.

  • Buy frozen fish and have lemons, carrots, brocolli in pantry. Set everything up night before.

  • No, Alton was trying to say that this is quick and easy, but when you have to spend an hour buying all the ingredients, it is simple not. I love Alton, I was just saying he should not have started the video that way.

  • Alton's idea was that pouch cooking is faster cooking, not necessarily "quick and easy."

  • hes just setting up some guidelines and getting you familiar with the tools, you go buy the tools, take em home then improvise, throw in some left overs, some frozen foods whatever

  • lol do you even have a kitchen? Those are all basic food ingredients.

  • you don't have to follow recipes to a core. This episode was all about the technique. As long as you have liquid and some veggies and meat and some sort of seasonings. You MUST have some sort of produce o.O

  • A.) Couscous, not "kooskos." Contrary to what you might think, spelling counts. We're grownups.

B.) If you take issue with ingredients, with techniques or with estimated prep time for recipes, then just quietly eschew preparing them at home. It's a tip from a cooking show, not a mandate from God on High.

  • IMPROVISE!!!!! THINK, EVER HEARD OF THAT? THINK. THAT SIMPLE WORD THAT ABOUT EVERY ONE BUT AB FORGOT or buy a pickle in a pouch and make sure it matches your attitude towards alton: SUPER SOUR!!!!

  • Jeez, if you have time to watch Cooking Shows on Youtube, I think you have enough time to do all that stuff.

  • LTH keep them coming...your a savior for those of us good eats fans that dont have cable......thank you
