Communism "sounds" good to many people. Che Guevara's words "sound" good to many, but in reality, these "good intentions" have led to an increase of poverty. It's unfortunate that Che Guevara didn't have a good understanding of economics. Everyone should read Sowell's works, such as "Basic Economics".

It is also based on a free market, which leads to increased wealth and happiness. Communism leads to increased poverty, repression and unhappiness. Read Sowell's "Basic Economics" if you want to understand this more fully. Che Guevara was misguided in thinking that he could alleviate poverty. His ideas could only bring increased poverty and have done so.

Communism "sounds" good to many people. Che Guevara's words "sound" good to many, but in reality, these "good intentions" have led to an increase of poverty. It's unfortunate that Che Guevara didn't have a good understanding of economics. Everyone should read Sowell's works, such as "Basic Economics".

A free market is part of a free society, where people have the chance to improve their lot. Most people don't remain within one economic bracket, but can move up or down. It is the only system that has proven that it can work so far. Other attempts (e.g. communism) have repeatedly failed. In communist systems, workers are impoverished and have no opportunity for improvement

@MrTabby5000 The large amount of unemployment is largely due to the recent economic crisis, which is in itself due to politicians pressuring lenders to give mortgages to people who can't afford them in areas where bad policies have led to high prices (e.g. California). All of this is the result of "good sounding" ideas with bad results, just as communism has bad results. Read Thomas Sowell's Housing Boom and Bust for more information.

After Che left Cuba, he went to Bolivia and thought he would do the same overthrowing the Bolivia President. But he was caught in the act and pay the price for his life. It is also based on a free market, which leads to increased wealth and happiness. Communism leads to increased poverty, repression and unhappiness. Read Sowell's "Basic Economics" if you want to understand this more fully. Che Guevara was misguided in thinking that he could alleviate poverty. His ideas could only bring increased poverty and have done so.

The funniest thing is that Cuba (which is dirt poor compared to the US) can provide shelter, food, and education to every man, woman, and child, yet, the "capitalist paradise" of the US, which is the wealthiest country in the world, lets its citizens live homeless and starve on the cold streets. The when they are desperate to survive and turn to crime, they're imprisoned and locked up. This current capitalist crisis is going to bring a final worldwide battle: the People vs. the Oligarchs.

I have family in Cuba, they have no reason to lie to me. I'm also going next summer to visit. How about you? Also, Cuba is not in ruins. In fact, it has been providing care to its citizens through this economic depression. Yes, that's right, no one is starving or sleeping on the streets in Cuba. America is not perfect, but it is a great country for those that work hard, get a good education and dare to dream big.
Case in point, the Cubans living in Miami are the most powerful, richest and most educated immigrants in that city.
