  • Screw all the haters. I bet that thing is a total blast to drive.

  • thats the only honda i would EVER drive.

  • Those Blue blinking numbers on the dash are going to give me a seizure!!!!

  • Uplod a video to see under the hood

  • Yes!!! SICK!! Great car.

  • Holy shit, with the weight of a crx that thing must be crazy fast

  • I wish mine sounded like that, but then again i get 40mpg plus lol

  • I have a question.. how does an engine like that fit in a car whose purpose was a four cyl or 6 cyl engine?? =/ I dont know much about CRX's in general... But do have a passion for all cars :) I guess you can say I'm a noob! x]

  • @k0edby22 alot of custom work, fabrication, relocation of firewall, subframe, cutting, welding, measuring, etc. just get ur hands dirty on a car and start learning is the best way to go at it

  • @crxV8 Cool! Thanks for responding! not many uploaders like to do that :P

  • @crxV8 how fast dose it go (0-60 mph)?

  • Does honda even make a v8?

  • @punchmaster123 nope

  • @crxV8 smh they should, i'd buy it

  • @punchmaster123 Honda makes v8s for racing but they haven't made a v8 for a passenger car. Indy cars all use Honda v8 engines now making 650 hp.

  • @punchmaster123 YES BUT! only racing v8 engine's for the Indy cars, but not for the street or regular production cars,Honda(at one time) made v12 and v10 F1 racing engine, pure honda power.

  • that is danger on wheels

  • Props for making it look good and non rice boy like while still keeping some japanese style to it. Thats one hell of a civic lol

  • Is it street legal..?

  • @2TheeKidd3 yep

  • @crxV8 how long it take to do the swap.? what tranny you have to put in it.?

  • @2TheeKidd3 its a year long or more custom build. not strictly a swap. its easier for me to have you read one of my many build threads, just search v8crx in google and youll find the build thread and all the steps and details

  • Have u had the car weighed?

  • @BigDiesel85 not yet

  • its ashame that its ugly an auto but i bet its quick as hell!, mad props to you

  • @skater4circa940 its not auto now, lt1 with a t5, 5 speed, updating the look of the car too with going back to factory, j's front lip, and probably 240sx style flares and some crazy offset wheels

  • how much you spend on this beast?

  • @RageATM223 hard to say, not that much seeing parting the car out paid for the parts, all the labor was strictly from me.

  • damn i would love to own a v8 civic. but im not so good with cars

  • That has got to be a BLAST to drive! I want that little beast!

  • that sounds amazing. How much did it all cost you start to finish and how long did it take?

  • JAPAN MUSCLE lol

  • @SuperM1998 Nah, that's American Muscle wrapped in Japanese skin.

  • yeah right if you had a silent exhaust nobody would know whats coming lol

  • Damn dude, about the only thing its missing is a semi quiet exhaust... then it would be the ultimate sleeper/trollmobile.. can you imagine the look on someones face after smoking their ass in that thing? Nice work man!

  • nice man it bet people look weird when it passes how do you say it commision or what is it called in usa ??

  • @tuned4life emissions? just a shot lol...but if ur talking about testing for efficiency and "greenhouse gasses" where i live i dont need to do that

  • @crxV8 ooh ok yeah that was what i ment i bet you save some serious money :P

  • I notice the distributor is under the fornt of the firewall there did you make a cutout or something to access that or is it all under you dash there and how much fab was involved in the tranny tunnels to clear the T350

  • @dunn98632 yep it had a cutout, now im fi with an lt1 so i dont need a rear dist. look up v8crx on google and read up on one of my many threads...thats the best way 4 u to see what i did

  • @crxV8 why wouldnt u have it with a manuel transmission? and have u taken it to the track for a 1/4mile time?

  • @mikesandytoes a built auto will be quicker shifting and faster starting than a manual. im doing a manual swap for the driving aspect of it. never took it to the strip

  • Is it just me or does that V8 sound like it's running a little rough? almost like it has some rod knock or something? Mad props though man that idle is sick with those cams.

  • @rextuner03 no issues with it at all..it was running perfect actually. with that cam and exhaust setup it sounds weird in the video camera but its a strong engine

  • @crxV8 Oh ok yeah I can see that. My camera has crappy audio too, it sounds so much better in person I'm sure. I bet you get a lot of weird looks in that too lol, people are like huh another ricer.....HUH????? hahaha

  • @rextuner03 lol yeah. ive confused plenty of the local hicks with it too haha

  • @crxV8 Lol I bet! What does it run in the 1/4?

  • @rextuner03 havent had the chance to run it yet

  • @crxV8 I bet it will run strong! Hopefully you can get it to hook up I have seen some civette conversions and they just can't get the grip they need without doing some major suspension work. Make sure to take some vid I want to see that! lol

  • Respek.

  • go drift it, you wont

  • @xJayFitz

what are you talking about? i have b4.. dont be an idiot if u dont know who the person is or what they've done with the car.

  • @crxV8 whoa buddy, I got nothing but respect for what you did with the car. I want to see a vid of this beast drifting I guess is what I should have posted....

  • @xJayFitz lol ok sry about that, i just hate the people that start bashing before they know any information on the person who built it or the car. but im putting an lt1 and 5 speed manual in over winter and come spring ill have more pics of drifting.

  • @crxV8 Look forward to it man. Why not try to find an LS1 instead of the LT1? :)

    Just curious.

  • @xJayFitz ls1 is like triple the price of an lt1. its cheaper and can make good enough hp..the lt1 i have is over 350 hp

  • @crxV8 well that makes sense, keep us up to date on this badass CRX!!

  • @xJayFitz will do!

  • what the hell? i read your forum and ur only like 19 or 20, how'd u get the money and the know how to do this? i mean im 18 and im just starting out with cars, did u and your dad work on cars together when you were growing up? and damn do u deal drugs or something to get that kind of money?!?! lol

  • @chillincruisin lol no ive saved money up since i was 13 for a car. i worked on cars with my dad since i was young and bought my first car at 14. i do everything myself on a budget and do what i can with what i have.

  • @crxV8 damn well, im jealous of you, seems like u got a lot of land and im guessing a nice garage to work in, and serious skill to pull this off. Also, are the supra and RS also yours? And im pretty good with my hands, how many years of tinkering with a variety of cars and learning to weld would it take for me to be able to do something like this?

  • @chillincruisin the rs is mine, which i converted to a 22b sti painted it pearl white and all the other fun stuff (well 90%) and this winter im doing a turbo build on it. i pay for all the parts and cars i own...paychecks go to gas and cars. but yeah get some time in, learn the basics, welding, strength, bodywork etc. and give it a shot. and dont give up on a project. the supra my dad build it had a 350 built for boost. and had twin t3/t4s. he sold it

  • @crxV8 where can i take classes on welding? right now im thinkin of the community college i go to. Where'd u learn yours? And what kind of job do you have that pays for all this? I need to get a job, and im always looking for suggestions. And let your dad know that the supra was sexy, its probably the only mark3 ive seen that i liked. And hopefully hes getting into some other import/domestic hybrid build.

  • @chillincruisin ive held alot of jobs. fixed up cars and sold them etc. made money that way. i had plenty of jobs im in school right now at a community or tech college. but u can learn at a tech college. i learned on my own by practicing and getting pointers. then even took a class at the college

  • @crxV8 Im guessing this is carb'd so no need for all the ECU wiring and what not. But how did u wire up the speedo/tach/all the gauges to read out correctly?

  • @chillincruisin this setup is yes. but im putting an lt1 in right now thats f.i. its really simple actually. i had custom gauges and re wired the wires. went through the factory crx harness and removed what i ddnt need and ran my own for what i needed

  • @crxV8 also, would MIG welding work for engine mounts and exhaust piping? or is TIG a must. And if u have emissions there, what do they think of this?

  • @chillincruisin a nice tig would be just fine for this. i have no emissions so id have no clue

  • Respond to this video... and no drug dealing here lol

  • i vote for a 383 stroker. THAT would be serious.. lol

  • i wounder about putting a 440 stroked out in there be stupid fast

  • man at least someone has the brains to do something good to a honda!!!!! nice work mate!!

  • Comment removed

  • i think im in love with your car man that think is sick

  • bro....bolt a manual box to it and you will have something bearly road legal so fucking vicious it will leave a nice steaming pile of turd on anything.

  • @sle3ve

im actually swapping in an lt1 from a vette and t-5 manual

  • do you have and interior vedios, form what you see getting in it look not too differend from stock crx insides. except like the radio placement and diff shifter. was expecting the center consol to be alot higher.

  • @dolleilei i have pictures of it on my forum threads...look up v8crx and look under the 3 or 4 that i have. also i am redoing the interior, but for the most part it keeps the stock look

  • dude u gotta let me know how u fabricate the front to fit the v8. i had in mind of doin the same thing since i got a v8 laying round in my yard and a crx shell....u beat me to it thou. NICE build btw

  • @MajestikSkillz

lol it takes a lot of time and planning...look at my build threads on honda-tech, or wishoc, or super-honda

  • i didnt think i was gnna like it b4 i saw the vid but this thing kinda cool..but a better small block in it and it would b a beast!

  • @TheDubeo

the one in it was about 320 hp, i have an lt1 and t-5 tranny in it now but havent finished it yet

  • nope, never ran it yet itll be around low 12s with my new setup

  • do you have any 1/4 m time slips yet.

  • @2000eclipseracer

really not to worried about 1/4 mile...id much rather have fun getting it sideways and taking it to lapping days..

  • @crxV8 yo how hard was the work to it?

  • @DSMeclipsegst

very hard, time consuming, and alot of planning and fabrication..pretty much making a new car

  • @crxV8

however, with your threads the groundwork is now laid out, i bet one person who reads every little detail and takes note on measurements and such could get it done in 6 months time or less now with the info you have.

  • do you have any 1/4 m time slips yet.

  • niice. must be fast
