Yes, if Kone made hydraulics again, just like Otis, Schindler, and ThyssenKrupp, they should have holeless and roped hydraulic, with biodegradeable fluid, and I'm cool with that.
No, they are still working on the east elevators, and then they will work on the wast elevators. So I'm thinking they will be done around early or so of 2010.
They sure are, and they are the GAL JetPlus fixtures, which rival to the Innovation Universal, Epco Circleline, Monitor Controls Monitor Series, and PTL Performer fixtures.
Yes, I do think it's more practical and efficient to have a single 2 car elevator bank serve all 8 floors in the building. Also, Schindler and Otis used to make 200 FPM hydraulics, and Kone has stopped making them, because of environmental concerns.
Notice how it got a little loud at the end of going up. That is a sign it needs some more hydraulic fluid. We have 40 elevators on our campus here and a few of them get like that when they are low on fluid. Also with being loud they will bounce and shake some too. Scary if you dont know what is going on.

I'm with ThyssenKrupp on saving the Hydraulic Elevator. Using Biodegradable oil w/ Roped/Holeless Hydraulic is the way to go!
an65001 1 year ago
That's correct.
CaptainElevator42189 2 years ago
Sounds like it was low on oil when it was leveling at 6.
pnwelevator 2 years ago
Yes, that's because the low rise MRL elevators serve 6 floors, whereas the mid rise series serve 7-20 floors.

CaptainElevator42189 2 years ago
are they done modernizing yet?
dea41396returns 2 years ago
Yes, but it would have been REALLY amazing if it served 8 floors. But this is still a HIGHdraulic elevator indeed.
CaptainElevator42189 2 years ago
This elevator serves 7 floors, not 8
cubsrule2040 2 years ago
No, this has an Otis power unit that sounds very like a Montgomery elevator.
CaptainElevator42189 2 years ago
Wasn't Esco always owned by Otis or when did Esco get bought out by Otis
cubsrule2040 2 years ago
I think Esco was an elevator company all by itself, and then just went under. It was not owned or bought out by Otis.
CaptainElevator42189 2 years ago
no, Esco was a hydraulic division of Otis, and then otis just got rid of the esco name but kept making elevators that were esco-style
dea41396returns 2 years ago
Very interesting, and now Otis has another hydraulic division called CemcoLift.
CaptainElevator42189 2 years ago
are you sure this is otis since the power unit is montgomery you said
dea41396returns 2 years ago
Thanks, and they are nice, since the white button with black halo is the most popular color combination with elevator buttons.
CaptainElevator42189 2 years ago
Those are nice buttons! They look like mine but opposite. The halo is black not white.

Well, level G is the Basement, but is at ground level, which is odd.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
If G Is Ground Where Is The Basement?
Elevator5519 3 years ago
G stands for Ground floor.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
What Does G Stand For?
Elevator5519 3 years ago
Yes, I do think it's more practical and efficient to have a single 2 car elevator bank serve all 8 floors in the building. Also, Schindler and Otis used to make 200 FPM hydraulics, and Kone has stopped making them, because of environmental concerns.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
Ya think so even if it means installing ThyssenKrupp Synergies?
Baytrail 3 years ago
Yes, or even Otis Gen2's, Kone Monospaces, or Schindler 400A elevators.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
if they went with ThyssenKrupp Synergy, it would probably be the M series
cubsrule2040 2 years ago
But don't you think it's more efficent to put 2 elevators that serve all 8 floors in the center of the parking structure?
Baytrail 3 years ago
ThyssenKrupp is now the only elevator company that makes 200FPM hydraulics.
Baytrail 3 years ago
No. There are 2 separate sets:
West-Levels G-6.
East-Levels 1-7.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
Is there an elevator that serves ALL 8?
Baytrail 3 years ago
Yes, this particular set serves Levels 1 & G.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
Yes, those are the West elevators that go to floors G-6.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
Isn't this the west elevator?
Baytrail 3 years ago
Yes, I used my better quality Canon SD-1000 Camera, which has a more crisp video quality.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
In your most recent 3 videos, why has your voice changed? Sorry I'm getting a bit personal. Camera, background noise etc...?
Baytrail 3 years ago
Yes, except this is an Esco (Otis) elevator, and is about 20-25 years old.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
Is it sort of like the video gluse filmed at Ereckson Middle School?
Baytrail 3 years ago
Can you do the other elevator?
Baytrail 3 years ago
Yes, I have done the other elevators already.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
Is there an elevator that serves 1 AND G?
Baytrail 3 years ago

campusdispatch 4 years ago
Yes, it may need some fluid, but it could be an old elevator, even if it's a little over 20 years old, which isn't much.
CaptainElevator42189 4 years ago
A floor is missing!
Baytrail 4 years ago
The White Level 7 is served by the east elevators.
CaptainElevator42189 4 years ago
I don't know, but I think they were introduced to overcome environmental & reliability problems of holed hydraulic elevators.
CaptainElevator42189 4 years ago
When's roped holeless hydraulic introduced?
6Q73RA 4 years ago
Neat!
