I was only 13 (1983) when Madonna came out and started to be famous and recognized in the music and clubbing scene. Good for you, and thanks for sharing. Madonna is a true star! she started from scratch and worked so hard in the early 80's, she deserve to be where she is right now, the number one, The Queen of Pop.

Look at Mr. Ciccone's young daughter commanding everybody to dance in the NYC nightlife, LOL. He was probably home in Michigan clueless of his seed building her nuclear fame bomb that she was about to throw on the world & these club goers had no clue that the little tart on stage would be one of the most prolific entertainers this world has ever seen. She sounds,dances, looks & is even her figure is that of a black girl here & her personal style is so remarkable.

I've actually read pretty much every Madonna book. I studied her for a famous persons class I took. She admired a lot of people but she said none had as much influence on her as when she saw her first Marilyn Monroe movie. She does kind of sound like Joni in parts but she's really one of a kind.

Perhaps talented with musical instruments, but have you ever heard Tom Bailey sing a song on key? Even in studio recordings the guy was always off key when singing. Today they'd use ProTools to clean that up, but its very obvious he can't sing. Like you said, "look them up on youtube" to see what I mean!

I've actually read pretty much every Madonna book. I studied her for a famous persons class I took. She admired a lot of people but she said none had as much influence on her as when she saw her first Marilyn Monroe movie. She does kind of sound like Joni in parts but she's really one of a kind.

There was a song called "Can't stop" and when I heard it back in 1987 I knew she was in it for the long haul--it was like"over and over" and all of the other songs which had an underlying tone of not giving up and not caring what others thought. Perhaps talented with musical instruments, but have you ever heard Tom Bailey sing a song on key? Even in studio recordings the guy was always off key when singing. Today they'd use ProTools to clean that up, but its very obvious he can't sing. Like you said, "look them up on youtube" to see what I mean!
